This letter is not a Japanese text written by a Japanese person. The letter has prominent features of hiragana and kanji writing styles commonly used by foreigners who are not Japanese speakers. The sentence structure also shows features that are not often used in colloquial Japanese, so perhaps a non-Japanese transcribed the machine-translated Japanese. Just as I am now doing machine translation lol. Or perhaps the letter was written by someone studying Japanese.

Just a little suggestion: when you put screws back into plastic, you should always turn them counter clockwise slowly until they click into the threading that’s already there, then screw them in. It makes it way less likely that you’ll strip the plastic.

If I remember correctly, this controller was made to be used with Phantasy Star Online for the Gamecube, which had a text chat function, ergo the full keyboard. Also good god, what hell had this controller endured to be that filthy? The only thing I can think of is being previously owned by a Japanese shut-in.

I had never even heard of that, but it looks really cool too!
Not a bad restoration. I would recommend using a 12% hydrogen peroxide instead of the typical stuff you get at Walmart that only has 3%. You can get big jugs of them on Amazon for reasonable prices. The UV retrobrighting box looks good. I wonder if leaving the parts in there for at least 2-3 days would make the plastic more original looking. The plastic still looked a little yellowed when you were assembling it, but that's just me. Here's to 30K more! Take care.

You could use Isopropyl Alcohol or electric contact cleaner on the circuit board and analog controller sticks. It would work just as fine on the keyboard membrane too. The sonic cleaner is fine, but some soapy warm water and a soft brush would've been slightly more effective. Overall the controller was 100x better than the state it came in.

Parabens! Vc e muito bom nisso
I tried this keyboard controller once and it was a bit uncomfortable bc of the size and weight but for todays standards it's actually normal, you are used to holding things like switch, tablets, steam deck, etc but back then it was kind of weird 😅
I bought this controller with the box and everything for a bit over $200 a couple years ago to play PSO on a private server on my cube. It’s a great controller, the keys are just meant for small teenager Japanese hands so it’s a bit hard sometimes to type. Ty for restoring this one.
