Huh. I never considered paint thinner for removing radium paint. Not sure why, it’s pretty obvious now that I think about it. That would cut down on the dust from the paint. That shit getting into your body is no joke.

Restoring a radium clock just to remove the thing that made it special?? It’s a good thing you probably didn’t realize that there is also radium in the beige-colored numbers 🙄 those are probably more radioactive than the dials themselves

I would not call this as restoration in general... espesially when You use sand blasting)) You don't need to remove steel cover connection to brass plate (at 3:00), thiese two parts could be cleaned together very nice. And You paint it - why... Too much oil... really don't You feel this... Original glass condition was fine And it is very sad to see how original raduim was removed, I don't see any reason to do this. Normally if You would just wash this clock from dust and dirt and make them run - it would be really nice subject with antique spirit.
