Good to see you wash the car at the end. 😂 Top job lads 👍
Since becoming single and having time on my hands I decided to subscribe to your channel. Its been very inspirational! I've enjoyed all your videos, attention to detail and quality laying! I've painted cars for 23 years and still love my job but I certainly now love building. Keep up the great work stu. Stay safe in the current climate
looks a lot better with the window in . great job👍👌
Ground out a gable end for repointing years ago there was a car next door with its window open, cue massive bollocking and valeting bill.
Brilliant videos Stu, just out the navy and getting myself back into action, videos are a great help.

Just a beautiful job. Wish my kids had been bricklayers.
Hi Stu, Nice video. I'm learning so much in my head. Not got the courage to put it into practice yet, although it would only be building for myself. ( I'm a photographer not a bricky ) Thanks for the lesson. Regards, Bill.
For a minute I thought you was going to brick the garage door inside!

Excellent job, really impressed! And one can clearly see the difference between the original (average) bricky's job, and your work, which is outstanding. Subscribed and looking forward to more! =D

We had our drive done this year,we gave all neighbours 20 quid each to valet their cars because of the dust.
good videos, very helpful. thank you. for the base layer there.. do you just lay the DPC on the dry, and then mortar on top? is that how it's done?
Good day handsome Stu 😀...Amazing work as usual...very tidy and neat work.. question not sure if you worked on replacing siding panels (cheap metal sheets on the house) on a house with bricks, if not can you please post when you do. Do you have any homes with siding panels? Thank you
Nice of you to clean the car a lot of people would of left it so well done another good job mate !

Some people put a KRend over the brickwork on garage conversions to hide mismatches and levels, looks good if done right too. Anyway, nice job!

Good video straight to the point. BTW why did the wall not need any foundation? Cheers.
Many thanks for sharing the video. Do I need to dig the base after taken off the garage door before laying the bricks. Many thanks
Good show ,but that too loud the music.
Excelente
Cracking job as allways stu, but tell k.c he needed to wash all of the customers car the front end looked like it had been through a sand storm.. lol :)
Cracking job Stu. Can't you use water on electric saw?
Lovely job ...I am looking to have the very same job done , up and over door removed and bricked up with a window .... What would a ball park figure be for a job like that ...I already have the new window , so materials and labour I guess ?
Great job Stu...i know it was 2 years ago you done this job but what is the rough cost of doing this at today's prices. Cheers
Great video. What mix and sand was used to get such a close match on the mortar? We have a similar colour on our house that I am trying to match.
Another fab video- should have left the evolution in the box and used your STHL with hose connected
Just getting ready to do mine, building regs need me to dig down and prove 1m deep footings first...
First things first a quality job. I am looking at having a very similar job done at the beginning of next year. Can I ask what the approximate price would be apart from my garage is a singles storey. Any info would be appreciated.
Been thinking about buying a 240v saw, always dry cutting puts me off though
Good job but when you put trims on windows it's always best to use a small gap silicone as it don't come back off like silicone will after a year or two
art
Massive help this video will be next week as im doing exactly the same for a family member so thank you for uploading! The garage door and window im doing look pretty much identical in size give or take so wondering if you know roughly how many bags of sand and cement i will need? Cheers
Neat job, like the fact that you obviously had window made to make jambs work bricks. Was it back to level at soffit height?
@Stucrompton1
7 жыл бұрын
yeah so it was the left pillar that was tighter joints at the bottom
Great job. Can you lay the first course straight onto the existing garage floor concrete slab or do you have to create a footing first .i.e first course below floor level? Cheers. 👍
@Fishingforgills
4 жыл бұрын
Yes
Is that a split course or does that run though the ground? Wanna know if it okay to lay on top of ground and build up or go under ground for support
I do wish it showed how the bottom layer was set. Did you use that same saw to divide the bottom layer in half or what method?
Great job. Ps Why isn’t the new window the same width as the old garage door? Just wondering
Hi how long did this job take to do as going to try this myself thanks
I prefere the electric to the petrol 12"grinder. How much was it?
What is the mixture used in construction؟ and what are its components؟
will you do a stonework video
Looks like its always been there.
Do all the garages down your way come with an artexed ceiling...or was it a sales office for the site in a previous life? Did you use frame fasteners in the sides of the frame or just top 'n' bottom as shown in your video? I carried out a driveway job involving the big saw on pin kerbs and the neighbours were on a long holiday so I let the wind remove the settled dust on their cars...so I thought...damn spider's webs on the bodywork grassed me up?! Thanks for the upload, great job.

To keep it gauge and keep to the line
No cavity tray above dpc, and no cavity in the corners (starter looks like it's against the orignal one-brick wall) ?
Nice video stu, just a quick questions.. was your dad a bricky before you and did he teach you the ways
@Stucrompton1

no hes not a bricky i learned myself
How do you colour match the mortar?
