I also thought gordon had tightness in his lower body and he was more linear than shifty which was why vertical routes were his strength.

I agree; I think he’s extremely underrated. My only complaint is that he looks like a body catcher. He played with Nabers who was the most productive receiver in college football, and Nabers took a lot of the looks that he would have gotten had he played for a team without Nabers.

Extremely overrated
His start stop reminds me a little bit of davante Adams.. and his off the line as well.. I always thought davante looked slow but he’s not.. I think he’s gonna be a good wr
BTJ is a dog after the catch. I’m an lsu fan so I’ve watched every play in his 3 years. If he had space, he’s a treat to score it. This past year he was just in a lot of, make the catch then turn around to see what’s in front of him situations & not rally having enough time to make the moves needed
Looks like a faster Mike Williams which had limited movement but was great at contested catches.
Christian Watson with better ball tracking is a good comp imo, not a lot of volume and is primarily a down field athlete who easily runs away from defenders.
He’s going to look good catching passes from Josh Allen

My rams are linked to trading up to draft a WR, I’m not sure why, but if the rams and stafford and Mcvay get Brian Thomas Jr to play with puka, and kupp, that would be the best WR trio easily. And when I say the rams are linked to trading up for a WR I don’t mean in mock drafts, just rumblings from within the rams. They really want odunze, but I doubt they get him.

A faster Gabriel Davis is cool in theory, but without being able to see more in-breaking routes from BTJ in college, I find it hard to justify taking a dice roll on him in the top 15. In watching these highlights I think there's an aspect of his game that reminds me of Marvin Harrison. He is a bit more of a slender receiver and thus doesn't look to break tackles, he is a make the catch, get as many yards without getting hit kinda guy. He's protecting himself by not trying to break every tackle. Also some of these highlights make me not like Daniels as a top QB because of how badly the throws are under thrown.

Good call on the jaguars picking him
You don’t need Thomas to be a underneath guy with the likes of Kirk engram and even Etienne out the back field him and Gabe Davis will open that underneath and will help Trevor develop as Trevor had that deep ball guy in Clemson and now has that here
BT Jr’s deep routes look like a casual stroll through the park. Covers a lot of ground with seemingly little effort. Might lull some safeties into a false sense of security.
8:20 the Breshaud Perriman comp is vile. I vaguely understand it if you squint your eyes, similar traits and athletic profile, similarly looks a bit unbalanced at times. Perriman however had hands made of stone. That was why Perriman never turned into a dominant player, he had so many drops in his career both in college and the NFL. I simply don't see that in BTJr at all.
❤❤❤
brian thomas jr is like a cross between MHJ with his route running ability and nabers with his speed and explosiveness. he might not excel quite as well at what those guys do best but he does what they do at a very high level. and honestly i wouldn't be surprised if he has a much more impressive career than either of them. watch him go to the bills or another team with a high level qb and help take them to a super bowl. the other top WRs are gonna end up stuck on some team in QB hell.

As a jaguars fan it’s wild you called it😂😂
3:31 strongly disagreed on the YAC thing. You need to go back and watch his tape from the 2022-23 season. The problem is in the 2023-24 LSU offense, he was asked to do so much downfield that he rarely got into good YAC situations (throws underneath). If you go back to his 2022-23 tape you can see he was a YAC monster at time, toe tapping down the sidelines, breaking tackles, and making guys miss. I compare his YAC ability to DK Metcalf. No, he doesn't look as fluid as some of the smaller WRs out there after the catch, but he's got that dawg and enough freakish athleticism to muscle through defenders.

I really thought he was lsu best wide out known milik is something special just saying he was big time and former basketball players are usually better when a contest ball comes your way
Would love BTJ on the colts. It would allow him to have much less weight on his shoulders early to be an alpha since the colts already have our WR1. Plus he gets unlocked (arguably more than with Jayden Daniels) with AR and the absolute cannon he has for an arm. Plus if the colts want to put a downfield track team on the field for a couple of plays both BTJ and Alex pierce could line up on the field together. I think he’s an amazing pick and would further help AR’s development

That's a terible landing spot if you're anything more than a Colts fan. There are no targets there for him with Michael Pittman receiving 150 last year and Josh Downs receiving another 100 targets. At best, BTJ would see maybe 60 targets. What a total waste of a great prospect that would be!

@@GortatHere Fandom pipedream! Guiys preoccupied with building All Star teams. It doesn't work that way. You need sufficient woirkload and the Colts don't have that to offer. It's like saying the Chicago Bears are a great landing spot for Rome Odunze. How so? When it's obvious that D.J Moore and Keenan Allen will get all the target share ahead of Odunze, and Cole Kmet has to eat also. Too many mouths to feed. No room at the inn! Same story with the Colts. Even if BTJ flat out replaces Alec Pierce in the offense, based on last year's numbers that earns him 60 targets. That turns him into Valdez Scantling. What's exciting about that? If BTJ goes to Dallas, that's exciting as there are targets available opposite CeeDee Lamb. If BTJ goes to Jacksonville that's exciting because of the targets left behind by Ridley. There are other really good examples of landing spots where the workload would allow the kid to take off in year one.

Honestly, if he's on the board for the Eagles at 22, I'm running this up there. He's the perfect complement to everything the Eagles need to do offensively. Y’all are to into stats. Even on some of the film you’re showing, he’s getting down, avoiding the big hit, probably because he already had the first down. Smart player. He’s WR3 for me. He and Nabers are very reminiscent of Chase and Jefferson. I believe they have just as much potential as those two, two of the best wr in the league.
he doesnt seem to have the foot speed needed for YAC. Also that production has to be tempered by the fact he was on the same team as Nabers and Jaden Daniels. He seems like he would be perfect for the role that Gabe Davis had in Buffalo.
