6'3" guys who can separate like this are so incredibly rare. He may need refinement in other areas but he has the single most important trait a receiver can have that absolutely can not be taught. Hes in a whole tier above Odunze in my book. Got Nabers and Thomas Jr. as 2A/2B.

The thing that strikes me is that even when he jumps up a gear, after 2-4 steps dude doesn’t even look like he’s running hard. Looks impressive.

As a colts fan, watching that speed and separation at 6’4” just made me go, “oh he’s a colt”. Ballard loves athletic freaks. He’d been mocked to us and now I see why. If he’s there at 15 and we don’t end up trading up for bowers, then we’re taking him (or Terrion Arnold).

Everything in his game can easily be fixed now that he doesn't have to got to school and play. He can clean up his game but i see him able to run every route and to be twitchy and that fast at 6'4" is insane

With an offense like JD and Nabers your very limited in your reps. JD is already a run threat so putting both him and Nabers on short routes rather than highlighting his excellency in the deep game wouldn't make sense. Malik is stronger in the short to mid range so it would make sense BT would be sent down the field majority of his plays.
