Breeding KOI project continued! DAY 17-23

Yes! We are back! With another great episode of the KOI BREEDING PROJECT. It’s been a while, but we are now back to show you the progress of the Koi development.
Have you ever dreamt of breeding your own KOI? Then this is a great series for you! We show you all steps from building the spawning tank, spawning, hatching up to feeding and growing out the BABY KOI.
We start with a small recap of how it all started, from spawning to hatching. And we continue with showing the progress and development of our BABY KOI. The growth rate is quite good and the development is great as well. Patterns and colors are appearing, and we slowly can see that these fry are becoming real Koi.
From 12 days on, we did already see that the length of the BABY KOI was becoming bigger and bigger. We even saw that we had some TOBI in our fry pond. Baby Koi that do actually eat other Baby Koi. So, what happened after that? Now at 17 days we have some great progress to share. We see the first patterns appearing, and we are starting to guess what kind of varieties we have in our fry pond.

Happy to see these series continued! I was getting worried. You are breeding a white and black fish, my guess is Sanke & Showa will be some of the varieties that show up.

Thank you! That's what I imagined as well. It seems to be a lot of Sanke! (and black, grey, brown type Koi)

On the inside pond would some day light bulbs and growth lights would have help
Nice to see you back in my experience of breeding sanke you should get a reasonable amount of sanke fry which are clearly visible with the red patches and sumi you should also get kohaku and benegoi which both start off as yellow fry the brown fry will be aregoki some might have the silver scalation of the parent and a lot will probably be brown aregoe much like a mirror carp I wish you well with the breeding project and look forward to seeing the next video👍👍👍👍

Been waiting for this update. Definitely fry grown outside grow better and better colour. I did the same test with my fry.

@@Aboutkoi yes last year fry was a good success. I’ve moved them on to make way for better linage. Learnt a lot from the last couple of years spawning and selecting. Thanks to your videos.

Wow that's awesome it took very long for them to grow bigger but that's kois i guess
