What she says and what she does are two different things. If the USA asked her if they could bomb, say, Libya from airbases in Italy she'd very probably say yes. Italy is a member of both NATO and the EU, organisations dominated, if not controlled, by the USA. The Italian government supports, by actions or by words, the war in Ukraine and its fully compliant with sanctions against Russia, China, or whoever the USA wants to sanction.

Basically a mixed picture across the continent - some regions are better off economically than others. East Africa Community (led by Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Djibouti and Burundi), most Northern African countries like Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco and Algeria, some central African states like Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Republic of Congo, and some southern African nations like South Africa, Botswana, Angola, Mauritius, Seychelles and Namibia are doing better than others.

That's not the native name for the continent, it was made up recently. The oldest known indigenous name for African land is Kemet, the original name for Egypt. It's not in use anymore, but it's older and more native than any other name we have.

I think the Sahel countries were emboldened by the Moroccan offer to access the Atlantic Ocean for commerce which would break the lack of access to export their mineral treasures and offering these countries a free trade zone, the countries who signed up for this economic block are Mauritania, Burkinafaso, Mali, Niger, and Chad.Morocco has put its infrastructure and ports at these countries’ disposal. This collaboration will help the Sahel countries succeed in their quest to kick out colonialism.

Having worked in both Libya and Nigeria for over 7 years. Even though it sounds wonderful, I doubt the success. Alliances between countries African countries made by military leaders are fragile at best.

Good reporting ! Being in Africa now, and doing business here. I can attest to all of this. Africa is fighting back, much like the rest of the world that has been oppressed by the west and EU.

Another example of Western preeminence fleeting fast. Job 12:23 KJB - He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.

There is a bright future for African countries. They took the most important step in rejecting the European colonizers and exploiters, and keeping out the collective west. They need to seek relationships with China, Russia and others in the global south. And, they need to work hard against corruption in their countries.

All three countries invited Russia to bring in the military to help train soldiers and organize the military. In addition, Russia is providing state of the art weapons along with training. There are hundreds of Russian military personnel in all these three countries.
