🔧 Built by Truckers, for Truckers 🔧
Founded by Chace Barber and Eric Little in 2016, Edison Motors is a testament to the trucking spirit. Beginning with a 1969 Kenworth Logging Truck named "Old Blue," they journeyed from Merritt, BC, hauling logs to the Yukon and drilling rigs in Alberta. Frustrated with newer trucks, they rebuilt classics from the frame up, expanding into power generation and off-grid solar systems in 2019. Their journey led to the creation of the Edison Truck, a robust electric truck tailored to logging and heavy vocational industries.
🔩 Upgrade Without Replacing: Edison Electrification Kit 🔩
Keep trucks on the road longer with the Edison Electrification kit. Upgrade your driveline to electric without replacing the entire truck. Ideal for vocational applications, this kit is a cost-effective solution. Unlike other electric trucks, Edison Motors offers customer choice. Choose between Rebuilding (utilizing existing cab and frame rails) or Remanufacturing (brand new frame and chassis).
🚚 Payload Efficiency: The Weight Balance 🚚
Edison Trucks match the weight of a normal diesel truck. With reduced motor weight and additional fuel balancing out battery weight, experience efficiency and increased payload capacity. The L series, though slightly heavier, remains comparable to a normal diesel truck.
🛠️ Keep Your Equipment with Rebuilt Trucks 🛠️
For vocational trucks, keep your equipment with a rebuilt truck. Edison's e-pto and control system integrate seamlessly. No need to replace your entire body when upgrading to an electric truck.
🔧 Bespoke Manufacturing: Handcrafted to Your Needs 🔧
The manufacturing process at Edison Motors is a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Each Edison Truck undergoes a meticulous five-step process, from frame and rolling chassis preparation to final touches and rigorous testing. The focus is on building a truck that reflects the customer's requirements, embracing the philosophy of "Building The Truck Of The Future With The Quality Of The Past."
🔌 Electric or Diesel-Electric: Your Power, Your Choice 🔌
Edison Motors offers both fully electric and diesel-electric vocational trucks based on customer demands. The onboard generator ensures continuous operation in areas lacking charging infrastructure.
💡 Advantages of Electric: Power, Torque, Longevity 💡
Edison Trucks bring increased power, torque, reliability, and longevity. Inspired by electric freight trains, regenerative ability harnesses energy for efficient uphill climbs.
⚙️ Efficiency Redefined: Diesel-Electric Technology ⚙️
Diesel-electric technology delivers peak load demand energy supply. Batteries initiate movement, and the diesel generator recharges the battery, capturing braking energy for restarts. The generator's constant RPM eliminates turbo lag.

They actually walked that back within 24 hours due to the magnitude of the backlash. It was GLORIOUS. NGL though, if they were gonna be paying the serving staff based on that pricing I'd honestly back the decision? But we all know they'd NEVER do that. Greedy bastards.

What’s crazy is when I went to Winnipeg to see a friend he insisted I got at least one double double from Timmy’s and let me say I can tell why it’s a cultural thing to do that with their coffee because it was still terrible. I can’t even imagine what their coffee tastes like black.
This is why I support this channel. Local as best I can.

One of my favorite parts of traveling is finding as many local small food places. Sometimes I get bad food but thats just part of it. But 99% of the time it's some of the best food I can find.

The Bannock breakfast sandwiches from Kekuli are incredible. Used to pick some up for my guys on site once a week.
My favorite breakfast place is its own little place at the edge of town, and they have the *best* chicken fried steak
I loved Johnnys on the Rez when I was living out there… plus it was on my way to the fire hall lol
Triple Os is based for fast food breakfast.
Heck Yes, Brother!! We have a small coffee shop in town called Spill the Beans. Best sandwiches and pastries around.
Fully agree, plus their coffee is gut rot.
As a fellow Canadian, I gotta say, I agree with ya 100%. The problem is that the locally owned joints are few and getting fewer by the day and the chains are ubiquitous. Everywhere you turn your head there's a Tim's, McDonalds or some such place and the local joint, supposing there even is one, could be miles out of the way. If you're a busy person with limited time, or a trucker like me who has to stay near the highway, this matters. I don't go to the chains because I like them, I go there because they're available where and when I need them.
I make my own lunch
2018 was my last visit to Tim’s, never again. Support local 🇨🇦
And the Cost! Many years ago stopped at a TH in saline,mi. after dropping off our semi at the terminal from an east coast trip. Granted it was late, couldnt get anything to eat because they had no buns(there was an a&p across the street). Made the two hour trip home and ate there. Never tried that again. The Mom and Pop places are the best no matter where they are!
Damn! I need that cafe in my life.
Any time I'me traveling in the interior, I ALWAYS stop at Kekuli and order $30-40 of their bannock. They have the best sandwiches period.
Starbucks burns their coffee beans to cover up how stale it is.
In my town there's a legit Mexican restaurant with a drive though, there's no reason to go to tacobell.
I miss the kicking horse cafe in Golden with smoke salmon on beagal with dill. Corona killed it but it was so good.
Got this local gas station back home called Hiltons that make breakfast biscuits as big as your fist. I need to visit them when I go back home again lol.
Absolutely amazing place to stop when we are passing through!
Shirley K's, Cambridge, Nebraska (open for breakfast) Good Life on the Bricks, North Platte, I've heard good things about a Chinese restaurant in Holyoke, Colorado

Thanks for sharing this place. They're right in Kelowna and I'll be traveling that way later this year, going to give them some business!
That breakfast sandwich looks amazing.
Damn wish we had a place like that around here. There’s seem to be no shops like that in existence anymore around BC. PS: that’s the stronges Canadian accent I’ve ever heard lol 👌🏻

I totally agree with you, unfortunately, there nothing close by for me, so home coffee it is!
That's all fair but the closed first nation's anything to me is across town😢
Oh man. I am sitting in bed early Tuesday morning and my spouse overheard your comments. NOW she wants that Saskatoon Bannock!
Great vid. You're speaking the truth! Timmies never fails to disappoint. I've never tried Kekuli, but I will have to check it out, looks awesome! Just wanted to mention too, a close second behind the independent places in Merritt is Triple O's. Their Sunny Start breakfast sandwiches are the real deal. 👍
Man remember when Tim's donuts were all different shapes and sizes. Oh how good we had it.
I'm going to Canada later this year, super keen to get my chompers around some of this food!
All fast food uses seed oils "veggie oils" absolutely the worst thing for you. Also the bread they use is like eating straight sugar. Avoid seed oils, highly processed bread and processed sugars. Do this and watch your life change for the better. Support local farmers markets for organically grown food. Ruminant meat is so important to human health so local grass fed beef and lamb is the way to go if one can afford it. But if not 80% of your plate with any meat some veggies and small amounts of fruit per week will keep the doctor away. 😊
Dam dude! Every one your takes is 🔥🔥🔥
Love that place. I always go there when I’m Merritt. Tell me you’ve gone to the high five diner in Little Fort. That one is a must for the portions alone.
Just went to Wendys yesterday and I'll be damned if I pay extra for those Biggie Bags or meh breakfast sandwiches 😂
No WAY, we stop there everytime I drive up from the States to see my family, it's the ONLY place i've ever been where you can get bannock !! It's a small world for sure!
The 1st salmon that swims by my home this spring is getting smoked, and a few of its siblings.
The more Ma and Pa the restaurant the better the food whilst on the road. Whenever I get a load from Sioux City to the North West Coast of the States I pretty much always stop at a Small truck stop for my 30 minute lunch and always try to have something new
Kekuli is always 10/10. We always stop there when going through Merritt.
as somebody who loves tims, I get a bagel with cream cheese and bacon or I get a turkey bacon club sandwich. the quality is just fine to me.
I love this! Stop buying from the big businesses and get local
You’re located in my back yard! I know that place, but never went in. Definitely checking it out for the salmon breakfast bun. 😋
We got a general store with a kitchen in back, always whipping up fresh sandwiches and morning grub. Eat fresh 👍
the only coffee shop on my way to work is timies so thats where i get my breakfast wrap and coffee
good thing I didn't see that sandwich before I went to work this morning; god I'm SO hungry now, can't wait for supper. LOL
I stopped going to Timmies after pretty much a lifetime of Timmies runs being a trademark. And I don't go to Fourbucks anymore, not because it's $4 (it's more now) but because they sell diabetes in a cup. For coffee on the road I go to ... would you believe McDonalds? And an egg McMuffin ACTUALLY is a moderately healthy choice (if you're eating "keto" then two eggs and NO muffin is a very healthy choice ... but you should always check the nutrition for yourself). If you have time a local "bacon and eggs" special is always the best though.

I’ll hit them up my next drive south now that it’s not forbidden to step off the direct route. Finally get to enjoy Canada again!
First Nations restaurants are the best in my opinion you get way more food for little money
That bannock looks unreal. The sandwich too actually. Pretty sure hortons is now owned by restaurant brands intl based in brazil. Super canadian
Where do I find that in Prince George?
Breakfast baconator is great. Also, their breakfast potatoes are great too.
I might eat about any donut ya give me but I won't spend my own money on those mass produced ones. I'm a sucker for any PA dutch donut always grab a couple packs at a time, one for now, one for the freezer later.
Someone tell Rich to get on the new corporate rules. No more Horton’s cups. 😅
Local loves you back
The best food in every town is that small dinner run by the locals. It beats the corporate frozen crap every time!!
There's a Starbucks in the next county over. I don't even go even though I'm around that area a few times a month. I'd rather have dunkin donuts.
Omg !! As an Albertan this makes me insanely jealous ..I love salmon.
What kind of donut was that? The smoke salmon breakfast sandwich has me hungry.
WOW! AWESOME!
Sausage and egg McMuffin, large black and hash brown.
Smoked salmon on ehat looks like bannock? Yum!
That smoked salmon sandwich looks delicious.
Absolutely love a local cafe~
I’ll tell you what, we have a Tim Hortons here in Pennsylvania (in Erie) which is 4 hours from me. And I’d rather drive 4 hours for a coffee from Tim Hortons, than 15 minutes to a Dunkin or Starbucks
I think it's been a couple of years since I've set foot in a Tim Hortons.
IMHO nothing beats my homemade avocado sandwich with some tuna paste. All the grease, oil and burn at these fast food places almost got me heart attack
We need you in the USA too!
😂😅 Fantastic video that resonates of a True Canadiana Spirit.❤
OMG smoked salmon, cream cheese sandwich. I’m in heaven. I have a CDL. Let me work in Canada. I will drive log trucks. I have experience! All for smoked salmon sandwich.😛❤ yummy! Love, Grava, lox as well. Thanks, Nancy.
Mom & pop shop cares about Quality. Corporations couldn’t care less. 😊
I stopped eating out all together…. I don’t like to pay money for cardboard flavoured meals. I think everyone can agree in your observation… Greed in large corporations is very evident
Wendy's breakfast baconator is the best of the chains sandwiches.
Or that restaurant that’s out in the middle of nowhere, has the two local coffee drinkers inside, hasn’t changed inside or outside from the day it was built and an older lady that greets you and calls you a sweetheart, you know you are going to get 5 pounds of home cooked food for 1/2 the price of a Big Mac meal
You're priceless my friend!🙃🤗
Get a bagle with veggies on it, throw a couple of hashbrowns on it and add your favourite sauce. I bring a bottle of honey mustard all the time with me now since they won't sell it at Timmy's ever since they freaking introduced me to it...we need to bring back the lash for members of Boards of Directors for affronting the dignity of Canada...
I like AW all around, its pricey but has good quality
Hahahha love me some bannock n bear meat! Hortons is hot piss water, its like the pc light of coffee!
