Back from Vacation: Exciting Company Updates & Future Ventures!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video, I'm excited to share some updates on what's been happening with our company while I was away. I had a meeting with Eric and our team to catch up on the progress. Here's a rundown of what we've been up to:
Truck Sales: We've confirmed a few truck sales! The sales team did a fantastic job in my absence, and we're on the verge of securing three more deals. 🚛
Battery Sales: Our battery packs, originally designed for our trucks, are now being sold directly to other companies. This is turning into a significant new business avenue for us! 🔋
Investment Funding: We've made headway with the BC Securities Commission and are gearing up for our next round of investment funding in the coming months. Thanks to Eric and our legal team for their hard work on this. 💼
Truck Testing in Ontario: Our truck is currently undergoing tests in Ontario, focusing on both the low voltage and high voltage electrical systems. 🛠️
3D Stress Simulations: Our draftsman has been busy with 3D simulations for production stress testing, which is showing promising results. 💻
Service Truck Updates: Dan, our mechanic, has made progress with the service truck, including fixing the exhaust and bunk doors, and mounting the service body. 🧰
Parts List Integration: We're collaborating with a university on a capstone project to integrate our parts list with a computer program for efficient truck pre-building. 🎓
Hybrid Light Towers: We're adding a generator option to our solar light towers, transforming them into hybrids for enhanced power output in winter. 💡
Mining Truck Deal: A mine in Cornell is interested in purchasing one of our hybrid trucks, facilitated by Matt, who runs a local maintenance shop and has been a great help to us. ⛏️
Pickup Kit Development: We're finalizing the price range and specs for our new pickup kit, which will include 4x4 and two-wheel drive options. 🚗
Go Kart Sponsorship for Schools: Over 50 schools are getting sponsored for our go-kart kits, with a focus on educational involvement. 🏎️🏫
New Merchandise: We've got new Edison Motors merch, including hats, shirts, hoodies, and even some unique 1960s style hard hats! 🧢👕
Upcoming Truck Deals: I'll be focusing on finalizing deals with several companies for our trucks, aiming to wrap these up by early December. 🤝
It's been incredible to see the team handle things so well in my absence, and I'm proud of the progress we've made. Also, a little note on my trip - Ukraine is a beautiful country, with an authentic, old-world European charm that I absolutely recommend experiencing. 🌏
Stay tuned for more updates, and thanks for your continued support!

🔧 Built by Truckers, for Truckers 🔧
Founded by Chace Barber and Eric Little in 2016, Edison Motors is a testament to the trucking spirit. Beginning with a 1969 Kenworth Logging Truck named "Old Blue," they journeyed from Merritt, BC, hauling logs to the Yukon and drilling rigs in Alberta. Frustrated with newer trucks, they rebuilt classics from the frame up, expanding into power generation and off-grid solar systems in 2019. Their journey led to the creation of the Edison Truck, a robust electric truck tailored to logging and heavy vocational industries.
🔩 Upgrade Without Replacing: Edison Electrification Kit 🔩
Keep trucks on the road longer with the Edison Electrification kit. Upgrade your driveline to electric without replacing the entire truck. Ideal for vocational applications, this kit is a cost-effective solution. Unlike other electric trucks, Edison Motors offers customer choice. Choose between Rebuilding (utilizing existing cab and frame rails) or Remanufacturing (brand new frame and chassis).
🚚 Payload Efficiency: The Weight Balance 🚚
Edison Trucks match the weight of a normal diesel truck. With reduced motor weight and additional fuel balancing out battery weight, experience efficiency and increased payload capacity. The L series, though slightly heavier, remains comparable to a normal diesel truck.
🛠️ Keep Your Equipment with Rebuilt Trucks 🛠️
For vocational trucks, keep your equipment with a rebuilt truck. Edison's e-pto and control system integrate seamlessly. No need to replace your entire body when upgrading to an electric truck.
🔧 Bespoke Manufacturing: Handcrafted to Your Needs 🔧
The manufacturing process at Edison Motors is a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Each Edison Truck undergoes a meticulous five-step process, from frame and rolling chassis preparation to final touches and rigorous testing. The focus is on building a truck that reflects the customer's requirements, embracing the philosophy of "Building The Truck Of The Future With The Quality Of The Past."

@wolfgangpreier9160 such a meatball comment from someone stuck in the past. Hugely practical application, even for a half ton, for a truly "working truck" and even for the weekend worrier who only hauls their rv or toys on the weekends

@@hobbyguy79 We don't have no bloody RV or toys to haul over here in Europe. We are all socialists and poor don't you know? I had a GMC K1500 Z71 Step Side in emerald green 25 years ago. Wonderful toy for the weekend warrior. I even once placed a server rack on its bed before it broke down with a blown Diesel engine after 120.000 kilometers. There is of course no warranty because there are no "dealers" for GMC or Ford here. Only for European Ford and Opel. It was fun as long as it lasted but nothing else. @wolfgangpreier9160 I'd actually argue a diesel electric hybrid would be hugely beneficial in areas of Europe as you would be able to use the generator to power your house when the grid is offline. Tremendous value to the agriculture industry as a straight EV just doesn't have the capability as far as available power for an actual day of work and again the generator could be used to power tools when the inevitable breakdown happens in the middle of the field away from all infrastructure. It's not just about making an ev go further, the entire concept, while not new, is a long overdue application, far more efficient then either an ICE or pure EV, the entire package is a step change of advancement for the industry.

Great to see the company succeeding! Okay so i got a question I'm a mechanic and unfortunately not all trucks keeps all the tires on the ground and im shere you have thought about it. But when a truck turns over is the electric rack behind the cab able to hold up well enough for impact or if it does git damage will it just pop fuses.

Love the Ukrainian Tractor Brigade cup! For those who don't know, early last year, Russian forces were abandoning tanks left, right, and centre because of how piss-poor their logistical planning was that they kept running out of fuel. Ukrainian farmers started "rescuing" these abandoned tanks using their tractors, and that started the meme. Ukraine is actually at tank parity with Russia now because of how many Russian tanks they've been able to recover, rebuild, and capture. Mostly T-64 and T-80, which aren't BAD tanks if you know proper support tactics, they're just no where near as fancy as an Abrams or Leopard.
