Don’t care if the story is different or fake or whatever… Braveheart is one of the greatest movie ever made and will always be ,and of course Mel Gibson is a f*cking Legend.

Definitely stretches the imagination with this movie, but you're correct. The themes and message are what's important here. For a long story it is paced brilliantly, a triumph of cinema.

My Grandad fought in WW2 on Malta. I Served in N.I. Bosnia and then Iraque. Then found out I have a Child in Scotland. Now I don't even know myself!? Can't get over that I am lucky enough to have a Child! However, I stayed on, as She said I could not see my Child. I was eventually injured. Just a Piss Bag attached to me for ever! War is no good!

This film is closely based on real events of Scottish independence from the United Kingdom and the battle of Bannockburn at the end where the Scot’s were outnumbered and won their freedom is a real historical event :) every Scottish person loves this movie including me! I’ve also been to the Wallace monument and saw his actual sword that he used in battle

@@simoncox9689 yes the movie is exaggerated as it is a Hollywood movie but there was a battle of Bannockburn fought for Scottish independence and also the military tactics displayed in the movie which led to the Scot’s victory of the English was real and was put in place by William Wallace the long spears to counter the English cavalry they were called schiltrons (probably bad spelling). There are a a lot of parts in the movie that are strongly related to Scottish history. Including the end where Wallace gets hung drawn and quartered and his body displayed throughout Scotland and England as a warning.

Today I watched this movie Speechless, particularly about honest love of hero for his beloved, bravery, patriotism and integrity

At almost 30 years old, a fan of cinema for as long as I can remember, I think that the best movies and soundtracks of all time have already been made. It's a shame that there is no longer such a magical piece that makes you feel the sensation of touching your soul.

because men until WW2 their balls used to generate high level of testestron (this will make a man fighter and is willing to die for honor), the system discovered this, so they made everything after WW2 to lower down the production of test, and destroy family unity and father role as high moral value figure.

I would say he is above Zimmer. I can't think of a soundtrack that Zimmer composed that is quite this emotionally moving. I'm not bashing on Zimmer he is great but this soundtrack is great without Braveheart but I would find it difficult to say that Zimmers tracks are as great without the attached movie. @@user-dg3so6yn6n

Это Легендарное кино именно о любви, людяз, Родине и гнилых политиках. Шедевр мирового кинематографа!!! Сколько раз я пересмотривал его за 20 лет и каддый раз выступают слезы.... Значит во мне еще что-то осталось от человека... Современные фильмы 2000х очень зрелищьные но не духовные. Я благодарю Всех кто создавал этот фильм... Низкий поклон от зрителей всего мира!!!!

All of the bagpipe music in this soundtrack are actually Irish bagpipes, (known as uilleann bagpipes), and NOT the Scottish Great Highland Bagpipe that midst people are familiar with. Uilleann pipes are very different, much more mellow, have a two octave range, and can only be played while seated. Highland pipes are more brash, loud and possess only a 9 more range.

This will never not be the greatest film score of any timeline.

Men who were ever so noble... Men of honor and courage who were protectors... So well depicted in BRAVEHEART❤

Watched this movie 1998 in School first time. Now, 25 years later Maybe over 800 times...

The man is a hero. He wears his heart ❤️ on his sleeve. I was in Braveheart. I was very young but looked older. A lot of Braveheart was shot in Trim, County Meath, Ireland. I just wish other thespians could be as good as he. The man is a legend
