oh man this makes me really miss home, Scotland. I´ve lived in Germany for 5 years now, this makes me think of my childhood. Going for hikes in the highlands, all the things I did in different places around the country, with whom and how long ago that was now. This magestic scenary and the adventures I had will always hold a place in my heart.

I miss it too and not just miss it , it's more like an intense longing because the strange thing is I have never been to Scotland and have lived my life here in India.Well atleast the current one.. People here believe in reincarnation and past lives and I have always been a misfit here, not enjoying the tropical summers like everybody else and loving the occassional dark cloudy whether and travelling in the monsoon rains when everyone is supposed to be inside and falling in love with the sound of bagpipes despite having a rich musical culture around me and a plethora of musical instruments to be inspired from. So I like to think that maybe in a different time, in a different life , i was there , running free in the Highlands with my friends and a part of me remembers still...

This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written .

Some of my favourite films growing up were composed by this man and I can't thank him enough for the glue of my memories as the people I share the memories with are no longer here and there isn't a time that goes by I don't miss them. But I will always have the music and the film's to remind me of the time's 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙

My friend brought over the movie CD when I was recovering from surgery. Oh my God what a beautiful movie and the music brought to tears. It was a masterpiece.

So good. Thanks for this. Geeze Scotland has some desolate beauty to it. It reminds of the landscapes in the Canadian territories up north. What a loss it was when James Horner died. A man on par with John Williams and Hans Zimmer. Some of the most iconic scores of the last 30 years were his.

Yeah the highlands of Scotland is beautiful . And there is a majestic aura about the lochs , rugged mountains mixed with the history . It can be awe inspiring at times . 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🎶🎶🎶🎶

I am so lucky to have witnessed the beautiful 90s

So beautiful!!!! I listen to this every day, it helps me concentrate while studying but also it brings so much enjoyment while I am reading some book, or just for relaxing. Recently I've been reading Rob Roy by Sir Walter Scott. Amazing story about one amazing person. Story about people. This music, from the amazing movie about one Scottish hero combined with the book about another hero and son of Scotland... such an enjoyment. This is what makes life amazing, despite all the troubles. Bless you. I am a man in my thirties born and raised in north east of England, specifically Newcastle. I moved away from home around 19 with the military and now I live in the Caribbean with my family. For some reason, I find my self playing this over and over alone at night time on my own watching the background and it speaks to some deeper part of my self. It makes me wonder what about this and why Newcastle people always feel a stronger connection to Scottish than even English. Maybe the English pushed us back a long time ago and made us English but deep down feel we are Scottish. Anyways, I am high as shit right now just ranting, but this song does something deep in my soul.

RIP James Horner...You will be loved forever legend.

I wonder if others see this music as I do. Few really grasp and reflect on what a paradise was like before Adam sinned. Perfect harmony, piece and tranquility. Where every word uttered formed a poem of truth put to music as pretty as what we hear here, and each thought producing a fragrance to God. Then Adam sinned and God smote the earth into a wobbling rotation causing imbalances that we define as weather (hot and cold rain and storms and cataclysms) to this day. As a result; Beautiful music and rhyming lyrics now can only echo of what once was Paradise. JMO
