Braveheart Movie - Soundtrack Compilation
Braveheart is a 1995 American epic historical drama film directed by, produced by, and starring Mel Gibson. Gibson portrays Sir William Wallace, a late-13th century Scottish warrior who led the Scots in the First War of Scottish Independence against King Edward I of England. The film also stars Sophie Marceau, Patrick McGoohan and Catherine McCormack. The story is inspired by Blind Harry's 15th century epic poem The Actes and Deidis of the Illustre and Vallyeant Campioun Schir William Wallace and was adapted for the screen by Randall Wallace.
Development on the film initially started at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) when producer Alan Ladd Jr. picked up the project from Wallace, but when MGM was going through new management, Ladd left the studio and took the project with him. Despite initially declining, Gibson eventually decided to direct the film, as well as star as Wallace. Braveheart was filmed in Scotland and Ireland from June to October 1994 with a budget around $65-70 million. The film, which was produced by Gibson's Icon Productions and The Ladd Company, was distributed by Paramount Pictures in North America and by 20th Century Fox internationally.
Released on May 24, 1995, Braveheart was praised for its action, drama, and romance, though it was criticized for being historically inaccurate. Nonetheless, the film was successful both critically and commercially. A legacy sequel, Robert the Bruce, was released on June 28, 2019, with Angus Macfadyen reprising his role.

My mom passed away on April 26 2024. Oh how she and I loved to listen to this music of freedom toghether... She was way too young too leave so soon.. Lord Jesus, I pray you hug her and welcome her to your kingdom.

Movie is a great reminder and lesson to all that freedom isn't free. It's paid for with the many lives necessary to get and maintain that freedom
It was a first film my dad and I brought to out little Siberian town in 1995 from Moscow. I was just 10. This movie had a big impact on my life and the music will always have a place in my heart.

Such a sound there is no doubt in my heart - i remember my father who died of massive heart attack in 1995. I was alone in the movie theatre after a couple of years later, with deep emptiness and constant search of his eyes, i calmed in the movie with my tears… behind this song… the handkerchief fallen down like a leaf in my soul - that was an incredible moment in my life! ❤️

I am from nz and when my father passed we have a tradition in the Maori culture we sit with him for three days also I’m part Scottish ob with my name so there was lots of both of our cultures but on the third day it was hard to let him go . There was a reason you saw a sign ♥

It's just as good in reality... the Scottish Highlands are an untouched raw beauty. I've been a few times, one of my favourite places. I'm glad the weather is cold it keeps the tourists away and preserves it's peace and magnificence. The people are very friendly and fun too.

utter goosebumps too as an irishman but utterly inaccurate….hollywood up the Axx.
This tune brought tears to my eyes. Outstanding performance by the band and outstanding vocals by the lady Lance corporal. Loved it
Absolutely beautiful. RIP James Horner. This soundtrack should be the main musical theme of Scotland. I cant believe Horner didnt win Best Original Score for Braveheart as well as Titanic.

W rzeczywistosci scieraja sie roznego rodzaju sily ktore walcza o wplywy, wladze czy surowce. To media i kinomagrafia nam wmowily, ze sa ci dobrzy co walcza o najwysze zasady i ci zli ktorzy chca wszystko niszczyc.
