Glock 26, the best concealed carry gun which comes with three 10-Round magazines. It's also compatible with a 15round Glock19 magazine and a 17round Glock17 magazine, so you can increase the capacity by swapping magazines. It can also fit a 33-round magazine which makes it unique from other sub compact concealed carry guns.

And here we are in 2023 and it’s relevance persists. I resisted the 26 for a long time, I never gave it a chance and always created ideas in my head why I would never want one only for it to become my favorite Glock among those that I own. All I did was add the Pearce grip extensions and it was perfect for me, the stock sight design works for me although i use the steel version for what it’s worth.

I own this exact gun with upgraded Trijicon Night Sights. Its a great gun however, be mindful Glock has not provided any Factory 5th Gen Magazines. I do have extra large high capacity magazines which stick out just for accuracy shooting at the range. However, I really need to practice more combat training getting use to the weight and feel of the actual 10 round clip. I spend most of my time reloading the two that came with the gun, that's with a speed loader too. I ask Glock about it, they say they will produce them when production slows down. Slows down? I got this right off the press practically back in February 2018. Over nine months later and still none available, that's my only complaint.

@@sweetcostarica Arguments like that never made sense to me. If you're carrying a tool to be prepared, then why not have the training and tools to prepare for the worst? Especially when the logistics of carrying them with you are at very little to no cost in the grand scheme of things. That's like saying: "who needs CPR training? I can count on one hand the number of people I know that have never had to use the CPR training they learned, and that number is zero." And then proceeding to tell you to not have a first aid kit in your car because the odds of getting a big enough boo-boo to hurt you on your way to work isn't that high.. "worst you'll get is a papercut".. uh huh, suuure... I get the point if you're narrow-mindedly thinking of *JUST* firing your gun in self defense against a thug. But unlike so many unprepared individuals, I subscribe to the idea of being as prepared as I possibly can with as many skills and bits of knowledge as possible to make myself resilient and versatile wherever I go.

@@stevenhaire5306 I hope you're listening to yourself.. If you added the pinky extension to the glock 26, you're running very close to the grip length of a glock 19. Meaning they'd darn near be the same size. You said you had the both, so compare them if you don't believe me. Not only that, but using the mag as a gripping surface can potentially break your gun. So I wouldn't advise the use of the pinky extension unless the extension was directly attached to the frame of the gun. I bought my g26 because my g19's grip was printing. My advice is going to be the same thing as the other guys advice: just carry a glock 19 if you want more grip for your pinky.

A lot of people used to carry the "sub compact" Glock 26 _I used to have three (3)_. BUT... Now that the Glock 42 (.380ACP) & the Glock 43/43X are out the *Glock 26 is fading away.* As if it was the great General Douglas MacArthur , it may not die completely but it will be bought less & less as it _- is too big &_ _- has less fire power _ in compassion to today's modern small pistols. *Here is why* (just one reason among many) I just took a CCW/CHP class to get a concealed carry license and almost every one in our class of 12 had a Glock 43, Glock 43X, a S&W Shield, one guy had a 1903 colt .380ACP hammerless, and one guy had Beretta 92FS Compact Type M 9mm. Before these true sub compact guns there would have been more Glock 26s and similar. *RIP Glock 26* 2020 is a new day & decade, the new generation of very small & thin 9mm dominate, some like the Springfield Hellcat, SIG P360/P36oXL overpower the G26 by carrying more bullets. Stay frosty

@@sweetcostarica The 43x's grip length is the same as the 19, but it doesn't accept double stack 9mm mags. I bought my g26 because I noticed my g19's grip was printing. I wanted the ability to use double stack mags, but be able to conceal the gun. The 43x would just present the same problems I had with the g19, except I don't get to use double stack mags. If I want +5 rounds in the 43x I need to modify glock, which isn't something I like to do with my carry guns that I'm defending my life with. I'd rather have a gun that's easy to conceal, but require very little (to none at all) tinkering. I want to put the stock mag it comes with into the gun, but then be able to put in a g17 mag with a +2 extension if I need the suppressing fire.

@@DeathxThexKid100 So in order to be prepared for "the worst" as you said with *what* and *how much?* What gun 🔫 and training 🤔 How much and what training 🤔 For the worst, as you said earlier. *The gun* 🔫 This is a personal view or preference as many say in the gun community. I carried CCW/concealed carry in Las Vegas, NV, Anchorage, Alaska, in North Carolina, and have IWB concealed carried in those places a: - Makarov - Bersa Thunder .380 acp - Glock 26 - Glock 43 - Glock 43X - Glock 42 .380 acp And hardest to conceal and the most uncomfortable 😫 was the Glock 26 (too fat and a little bit heavy for me) The easiest was the Glock 42 but due to my XXL or really big ✋hands I *_compromised_* on the Glock 43. But I the had the same issue with the slightly larger G43 as the G42. When the Glock 43X came out it solved 😎 the problem: _the grip_ I needed more instead of less to hold on. But it's a compromised situation to 1st use a pistol 🔫 for self-defense and 2nd to use the smallest I can get accurate hits with. Oh, I also have a Glock 19 & the Glock 43X although has the same length *_it is thinner_* and lighter. This makes the Glock 43X the best 👌 concealed handgun for me. Again, that is what I do from CCW or concealed carrying from all temperatures and places. Looking forward to your answers to my questions 😀 above. God bless 🙏

@@sweetcostarica You said "explain" to another commenter. I figured to elaborate on what they meant. I carried a glock 19 before carrying the glock 26, so the "heavy" factor as you personally noticed never bothered me about the glock 26. Especially when that (odds are) I might be smaller than you. I myself can only get 2 fingers on the gun like anyone else, but that never bothered me. "Fading away" is a bit much, especially when a glock 26 mos model is on the horizon. That and by the glock 26's very nature, you can carry a spare glock 17 backup mag with the highest capacity of 19 rounds above all the other subcompact handguns. Meaning more firepower, which is a prominent point of yours. Carry whatever gun you want, I just figured to elaborate. 🤷

Looking at one of these to replace my 642PC (9 mm is marginally less expensive than .38 for practice ammo...I'm broke; don't judge me 😆) Polygons have six sides, hexagons have eight sides. The 26 is about prefect in terms of size for a concealable semi-auto for me at least.

Agreed, the G26 Gen 5 is a sweetie. Correction though, a hexagon (hex, meaning six) has six sides where as an octagon (oct meaning eight, think octopus) has eight sides. Now, a polygon (poly meaning many) which both the hexagon and octagon qualify as has many sides. But no big whoop, eh?

Ok people. My Glock 26 fires 124 gain FMJ's ok, but not 115 FMJ's. it will jam on 115's .. Put in new recoil springs, same result...So what is the problem?? I cannot recommend this is as a carry firearm under these conditions..Glock is over rated period. Get a Sig P365. and be safe as a carry firearm.. Period....
