The dislikes are from people still stuck in that 2-star town

Remain a huge fan of the Killers song, but the harmonies in this are haunting. Plus it has an amazing lyric “the stars are blazing like rebel diamonds cut out of the sun.”

i remember being a freshman in high school when 'Hot Fuss' came out, and falling into The Killers' sound completely. 15 years later, I'm feeling the same way about Boygenius -- they're an era-defining group. fitting they cover such an iconic song, being iconic themselves~

The Killers is by far and away my favorite band and Read My Mind is my favorite song of theirs. This cover is great.

Lucy sounds like Joni Mitchell sometimes and we love to hear it

Definitely my favorite female harmony band EVER.

How have I NOT heard this until now? Those harmonies at 3:13 and 3:17... :-O They really brought out another side to this song I didn't even know was there. This is definitely what god sounds like.

They are witches. Everything they touch becomes slightly more magical. Have you heard Phoebe's cover of "Teenage Dirtbag"? I nearly lost my shit. They're witches. There is no other explanation. We should build them a church.

I would never have expected them to cover the Killers. Huge fan of the killers and chanced upon Julien Baker awhile back, this is amazing.

It's weird to hear Julien, the one who sings the most sad songs in her solo material, sing the "magic soaking my spine" line. Still, fukken amazing cover.

Found these 3 Amazing women by accident, Love their harmony, Love how Julien handles her Strat.

Much prefer Brandon singng this, it turns to bubblegum in the chorus. The verses sound great though.

Not a big fan of the pace of this cover, too slow for me. Hurts the message of the lyrics. Nice voices and everything, but I don't like arrangement.

an 8 a 5 and a 2 came together to make the most boring rendition of this song in existence...

I like what you do with the harmonies in the chorus, but whoever sang at the beginning, the whole “sounding like you’ve got something stuck in your throat/have a speech impediment where you can’t pronounce your “r”s” is so overdone at this point. Lana Del Ray did it well because that’s her natural voice, and Ben Gibbard even had some of that goin for him and it sounds good because it’s super natural, but please take the time to work on your natural voice. Find your own voice. That style of pronunciation sounds lazy and it’s freaking everywhere. I can tell you have a good voice. So please find your own voice and use it.
