I'm a Rose fan and I was already a killer fan even before she covered it, but tbh I haven't listened to their songs in quite a while. So, I was pleasantly surprised when she covered it and took me instantly back to my school days. And thanks to Rose I'm re-listening their songs, lots of attachment and memories, happy ones that is. The Killers are so underrated. The music sounds way better than most popular music these days, the lyrics have way deeper meaning than most popular music these days and they generally have way better music than the stuff these days. I thank my parents for listening to them and giving me so much nostalgia with this band and overall introducing me to some of the best music.

When you listen to the lyrics "You say you want to move on, you say I'm falling behind" and "I got the green light, I got a little fight, I'm gonna turn this thing around", it sounds very much like coming to terms that a relationship is breaking. Maybe it's not necessarily a breakup song, but it could be interpreted as a post fight song. I dunno. It's just gorgeous.

+ellzedd41 I can definitely see that point of view! Like I said, I totally see it both ways. I can see how it is the end of the road- a couple that had their ups and downs and despite being over, he's reminiscing and giving ode to the relationship. Maybe he's replaying the high points of the relationship, when it ended and what he should have said/done in that moment. However, what you said is very strong. Like I said, I can see it being up to interpretation. That's the beautiful thing about Brandon Flower's songwriting- it makes you feel things you didn't know were capable of being felt by using a complexly beautiful set of words.

i'ts funny cause everytime i saw their live videos and music videos i always thought to myself that tyler reminded me of someone but i just couldn't place who it was. then today i was watching this interview and when he mentioned the killers i was like "hOLY SHIT THAT'S WHO IT IS, YOU REMIND ME OF BRANDON FREAKING FLOWERS THANK YOU TYLER" it was a beautiful moment of realization really

I was in 4th grade when this was airing on MTV in the morning before school. I'm 28 now, and showing my 10 year old daughter these. Ahh the nostalgia. She doesn't get we didn't have phones or anything to listen to this on the go.

Put your back on me--- sounds like something Jesus would say❤

In 30 years, The Killers will be one of those bands that everyone will remember. Enough said.

Felt so special noticing it, and after reading the comments I feel like I'm the last person on earth to notice lol! :D A subtle kiss that no one sees! (or everyone *but me* sees hahahahahaha!!!)

2009 was such a good year for iconic music.

It was 2017, I was a 22 year old university student. My girlfriend decided to breakup with me cause she couldn't stand the long distance relationship anymore and she thought I had no motivation to graduate, leave the city and move to the city where she's at. This song resonates with me a lot because she didn't know what's in my mind, that I wanted to move out of my 'two-star town' as soon as possible, I really wish she could read my mind. I really want to feel the love, the fire and wish she could open the door for me, again. It has been 3 years, and thankfully I am happy with where I am now. I moved on and fell in love with a woman who wants to know what is actually inside my mind. I do wish my ex-girlfriend happiness, because without her I won't be where I am now. I don't shine, if she doesn't shine. That's my story, thank you the killers, especially Brandon, for this amazing song.

@@trevgreg2 I think it's a little fight, meaning he has fight in him to leave the town, she wants to leave, it's about him saying he is going to leave the town with her. It's a really romantic song, he doesn't want her to leave him behind and so he has a little fight in him to rescue her and take her out of the dumpy town. Put your back on me...she saying I've got your back. I think that's just my interpretation.

Honestly any single one of them. I taught in China and Japan. Loved the experiences. Lots of times children will just approach random foreigners and start asking them questions in English. If the person doesn't understand the child then the child politely apologizes and bows for interrupting them and walks away. It's a beautiful world over there. It really, really is. The people, the culture, the sights, even the sounds. It's beautiful over there.
