I'm glad to hear that she is as she seems. I once had a dream that I met her at a crowded festival and we struck up a conversation and became friendly. And in the dream I really had to pee and she came with me to the bathroom and waited in line with me even though it was really, really long. I woke up thinking that was so nice of her and wondering if she was that nice in real life, too.

@@SBC2317 the definition of rock has definitely changed overtime. Grammy's are quite commercial so it's obvious that pop-rock will be the genre of the songs in the category. Those are the most POPULAR (so pop) rock songs. Just in the same way no 'heavy' songs were nominated in metal.

@@giada3330 it definitely changed over time, but even so. It doesn't make sense to why they won it. Yeah the song did relatively well on Spotify with 85mil streams. Only 4 mil streams on KZread. I don't get why this typical mediocre song won, as it's already forgotten by most people. If the Grammy's are so commercialised, then it would go to actual rock bands?

Plants? Do explain. I watched Phoebe at a 500 cap room when her first record came out. Never saw this coming. They've all separately toured on a small scale and grinded for years, multiple records etc. Even this band is over 5 years old now.

Pues en los últimos quince años han salido artistas como Haim, Florence + The Machine, Brittany Howard, Hozier o The Last Diner Party. Y en español están Izal, Viva Suecia o Arde Bogotá. Son una forma diferente de hacer rock que la escena necesita y merece la pena apoyar.

Born in the early 60's could never understand why Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Queen, Bad Company, Aerosmith, Kiss, Boston, Journey, Skynyrd, Fog Hat, AC/DC, Foreigner, hell there's WAY TOO MANY bands to list. All said bands + + + were selling out arenas and not to mention millions upon millions of records; yet in the 70's, 80's and 90's said bands NEVER received a "Grammy" I mean Queen -- NO GRAMMY?? THEN! Jethro Tull gets "Best Heavy Metal Album" That was the final straw for me. It's just one big butt buddy Vaseline club! I have not watched, since the Jethro Tull incident nor will I ever watch again as long as I live! I mean I could never get over how Zeppelin never got a Grammy back in the 70's or even 80's then lol The someone told me The Grammy's gives Page an award or something in the early 2000's for who the phuck even knows??!! I mean what a beyond mockery JOKE! You have to be really hard up to support the Grammy's ministry. Peace

Yep years ago the Rock category turned into pop stars so the Real Rock groups got screwed. Boy genius is not Rock in my opinion but I grew up listening to Heart, Zep, journey etc..

Agree 100% The artists you listed is what Rock is all about, not some watered-down or misclassified versions that somehow infatuates the Grammy crowd. By redefining Rock, the Grammy's have made a mockery of past Rock achievements and have greatly contributed to its decline in the USA. One must listen to the current musical artists in foreign countries to really hear Rock as it was meant to be. For example, Mexico's The Warning and Japan's Band-Maid are true Rock Bands that really carry on the torch of true Rock n Roll and there are many other bands in different lands that do the same.

I think the issues is both tho for the rock category of grammy. - There're too many old legacy artists (that shows the state of rock today). - When they nominate newer artists, most aren't rock enough (alternative or indie at best) or straight up not rock (i remember they nominated Black Pumas years ago).

The fact that they won not Rolling Stones who are rock n roll legends is just a joke! I mean Mick, Keith, Ronnie - those guys have been in the industry for over 60 years! Damn, like, the fact that they had a brand new studio album with guest appearances from Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney (a BEATLE on a STONES album, ehem) - well, this is just enough to get acknowledged! Besides, I wonder how many artists could drop a hit like 'Angry' being over eighty... Shame on Grammys!! Such a bullsh*t, Jay Z was so right! 😤

Ok Boomer. The Rolling Stones new album didn't get released until October 2023. It was not eligible for the 2024 Grammy Awards, it will only be eligible for the 2025 Grammy Awards. And they wont be competing in the Alternative Rock categories that Boygenius are in. The Rolling Stones haven't been relevant since the 1980s. Leave some room for newer artists to have their moment

Rock is not dead, it just moved out of the country to other lands. The Grammys have worked hard to try and destroy that genre in the USA. One needs to go elsewhere to hear great Rock music. Suggest listening to the rock groups in other countries like Mexico's The Warning or Japan's Band-Maid to hear that Rock is still alive and well.
