Bridgers told Vogue in a 2018 interview, “Men are taught to be entitled to space and that their ideas should be heard because they're great ideas and women are taught the opposite … so a 'boygenius' is someone who their whole life has been told that their ideas are genius.”

Yes she’s the one who seems to have the guitar chops, she really shows that in the new live song ‘Salt in the Wound’. I also feel more emotion from her and kinship to her. Her solo material could have come from my own life and soul, it’s uncanny the similar problems and demons she writes and sings about. Especially ‘Claws in my Back’. She shows more serious emotion openly here than the others. I wish her all the best.

The couple of y'all pitting three girlbosses against each other are abt to catch these hands, and I'm only partially joking. Though I do agree that Lucy's vocal skills have been, historically, criminally slept on compared to the other boys. Hoping her killer vocals on the record will change that!

Do I spy an all female backing band? I love that such somber and heart-wrenching can be performed so joyously. It adds a different spin on the emotion.

i love how much on the original track you can hear Lucy the most on the last verse but in this performance they decided to all sing it loudly together and i just love that for them because it’s good to change it up sometimes but every time i hear the track i always tear up when Lucy brings it all together at the end

They together are wonderful. But Julien Baker is very underrated, perhaps because she is more shy and does not have as commercially viable image as Phoebe and Lucy. She is a wonderful singer and the best musician of the trio. She makes me vibrate.

The record is really helping me going through shitty family and mental health problems now, I can tell already that I'll remember these performances being my emotional support

I know another drummer commented already, but just have to also say- that drummer absolutely crushed it. This whole performance is absolutely legendary. Boygenius is balm for the soul. The songwriting, musicianship, their eclectic sound, the list goes on... But it's their love and support for each other that really moves me beyond words.
