+Trevor Slake as much as I loved and cherished that season and would've never wanted it to end, I'd have to say nay on season 2, they ended it perfectly and couldn't really do much more with it (what with essentially everything Ryuko has being destroyed or lost and her finally finding happiness)

i remeber the first time i stumbled into bob ross on tv in a late night show, freezing in the skipping of programms and watching...it was a long long time of i think ten minutes into it before i realized my mouth was whide open...lol

It always makes me smile when he cleans the brush. He must have done thousands of painting in his lifetime, and he still smiles every single time :)))

Fun fact: Bob actually greatly disliked the afro as he had spent most of his life with short well kept hair. However a few years before the joy of painting, Bob was down on his luck and needed to save in cash. So the first thing to go were frequent haircuts. After the first season of The joy of painting, Bob finally had the means to return his hair to normal but at that point it had already become iconic to his brand. Bob tried for years to let the producers to allow him to return his hair to normal but eventually over time, he also learned to love his iconic image.

He's definitely the most chill person I've ever seen. Sometimes when I was little and it was my nap time, my dad would change the channel to this show. Because he knew when Bob Ross was on I would be out like a light. It was Bob's voice that would do it. It even had the same effect on my dad.

Bob's voice is so good

when I'm sick, I just put this on to listen to the soothing sound of paint and Bob. When I paint, I remember how many times he reminded me that it's my world, and that any accidents are "happy accidents" and can be made beautiful parts of the canvas. The world has too few Bob Rosses and Fred Rodgerses.

God it’s unreal how quickly he takes a blank piece of canvas and turns it into an unbelievably beautiful painting. He has such a good imagination, way beyond my simplistic mind!

Such a calming presence, hypnotic voice. Love watching his creations and brings colours to life. His mountains are stunning

The laugh at the end of beating the devil out his brush… it’s one of the purest things, man

I wasn't ready to watch him. For years I've known about him, and seen some of his work done, but this is the first time I see one of his videos and it's the most pure thing in the entire world, I just spent half of the video crying happy tears. I love him.

Agreed, I'm English and only discovered Bob Ross today. What amazing warm and loving energy he radiated. Inspirational. So sad to discover he died at just 52, back in 1995. But he lives on and continues to touch people's hearts thanks to his immense talents.

When he made a lake in less than a minute with a big ass brush with just one color of paint, my jaw dropped.

I was watching him when i was like 5 or so back in 2005.I never knew he died in 1995.Like i always thought he was alive living somewhere but knowing that since i watched him he was dead it makes me sad.

Watching Bob paint really makes me think I could paint like that if I tried, even though I bet it’s harder than he makes it look. He makes me feel like I could paint a pretty impressive painting my first try but even if I didn’t, it doesn’t really matter as long as I enjoy it. :)

I know this is way late for a reply but you could do this. It isn't hard. I've done several, and my wife has as well and it's amazingly simple and fun. Would it be as good as Bob? No, not at first. But trust me, even your first effort will surprise you. Careful though- it's addictive

Bob Ross teaches you techniques that you can easily replicate. Buy a canvas, buy some paints, and try what he does. It's possible at one point you may feel frustrated as it's your first attempt, however you'll quickly surprise yourself with what you are able to do. I recommend getting a black canvas and trying something fun like the northern lights, he gives you an easy gimmick to create a cool sky and then you learn to make mountains and whatnot. Then you can decorate your house with your paintings.

This is where I 1st experienced ASMR, had no idea what was happening as a kid but all I knew was that I was instantly mesmerized by his brush strokes & soft speaking , that’s how my mom got me to take my naps lol. She would put Bob Ross on & I would be sleep within 10-15 mins tops ...

this is what humanity needs. A normal dude that just makes every atmosphere around him better. Everytime I hear his voice I literally CANT mad. wth

These videos are so relaxing. Sometimes I put them on my headphones during office hours to avoid going in bloody gore killing rampage against my co workers.
