Back when this show was in its first run, at one point I was heavily pregnant (I ended up 2 weeks late), the size of Jupiter and it was a miserably hot August. We had only one AC and I would crap out on the sofa in the living room and listen to Mr. Bob Ross and just zone out blissfully. I've never picked up a paint brush in my adult life but now that I've found him on KZread, I listen to him from time to time to fall asleep and ponder how it has happened that my little girl who I truly believed was never going to actually be born, is now 34 with a little girl of her own. I try not to hold it against her that she delivered 2 weeks early. That's my Bob Ross story; we all have one.

It's been 31 seasons and he's still giggling every single time he cleans the brush ! I love it ! ❤

I like how as the show and the seasons and the years went on he got more comfortable with the cameras and allowed himself to just get lost in the painting and you really saw how excited and joyful it made him feel to paint

You can really see the progression between season 1 where he was very awkward and the dialogue was choppy to season 31, totally confident and knowing exactly what he was going to say. Watching him brings so many memories of my childhood.

I love the fact that he laughs every time he beats the crap out of his brush 😂😍

In the 90’s when I was just a little kid 4, maybe 5 years old I would lay on my grandmas couch and just listen to Bob’s voice anytime the show came on. I would close my eyes and just listen to him talk and it would make me feel so at peace!

I love the part when he describes the house and it’s cause for neglect: “maybe the trapper, the owner, fell into the creak!!!!!!

RIP Bob Ross 💐 I've been a Bob Ross fan since the early 80's and he inspired me to paint. I have several DVD box sets of Bob painting. I always watch them when life starts to feel like it's getting out of hand.

I come here to enjoy the better things in life. Bob Ross was a golden soul, he had a spiritual connection to nature and his message was nothing but love and encouragement. Rest well you legend, the world is truly lost without people like you.

as a child, at the age of 8; I woke up at 5:00 am to see BOB ROSS. it was the only time they broadcast it. on weekends .. I just didn't set an alarm, I did it out of inertia thanks to Bob and his magical phrases like [you can be free .. on the canvas * they marked me a lot .. and that triggered art nowadays It will revolve around my life .. today I am about to finish my educational career as an architect .. The way Bob talks about nature, skies, water, trees and meadows, we too feel an instant connection with them all. They are all alive and happy, and make us all happy. His viewers are many, but I feel he is talking only to me... I am getting personalized instructions, to create my little world on canvass. Above all, now I can now live with my "happy accidents" and not torment myself by calling them my "mistakes." Thanks, Bob, for teaching a valuable life lesson: "There are no mistakes; only happy accidents."

Amazing guy❤ that was my fav tv show then I was a kiddo from Nicaragua in the middle of struggles I was so happy watching this tv show and all his artwork.

I wish Bob was still around, but what he left behind is still positively affecting people. We may come here to listen and watch BoB for different reasons, but it seems like we all cherish these moments in time that he left with us.

Using his techniques it wouldn't take a more experienced painter long at all to do a painting like this - there are videos on KZread of professional artists painting as they follow a Bob Ross video, who do end up with a finished or nearly finished painting, too! There's also literally no obvious or even subtle breaks in the 'action' so I honestly doubt they skipped anything.

I like all the Yellows, especially Cadmium Yellow! 🌕🌕🌕💛💛💛

Love this monotone nature scene. Beautiful with a promising view. He was such a kind talented human being and Artist.

He was far too good for this world. But legends never die. Now he's painting in the sky, surrounded by happy, little clouds.

I just discovered Bob Ross. He is both an artist and teacher. Watching his videos has taught me to notice, and appreciate, the nature that surrounds us.. My love and thanks to this wonderful man.

Bob is the only human that ever lived that could make a whole world, 5 millions friends, and a wild animal happy in a half hour.
