When you leave your body (die), and you cross-over, one of things you experience is a life review. In this life review you review your entire life, but not just from your perspective, but from the perspective of every since person you have had a positive or negative impact upon. You become them and feel the impact you had upon them. It's deeper than that though, because his love didn't just impact the people that watched his show, there's always a ripple effect. Which means that his kindness makes people feel better which in turn causes those people to treat other people better and so on. So the soul of Bob Ross has felt your appreciation from Heaven, and every single person his love has touched. The joy he must have experienced is unfathomable. Love is always the answer.

I'm 75 and just now starting again. I used to use house paint. but now I'm actually learning strokes and techniques. I'm having fun grab a brush and get started.

You know I can't help but notice that bob gets subtly more and more sad as these episodes go on. He was such a kind soul. He didn't deserve the pain he felt in those later years. Bless you bob Ross.

So appreciate this kind man. Took his course 33 yrs ago opened up a new world for me. I was a shy person thrust into a harsh world his ways rubbed off on me showed me a soft answer turns away wrath. Bless you Bob heavens gain

Anytime whether stressed, tired, or bored this man can make anyone feel good, calm, and always I enjoy how he is so calmly descriptive with his artistic talent which is most important. And yes one in a million hard to ever replace.

What amazes me more than anything about Bob Ross is that he is SO POSITIVE that all of Bob Ross's KZread videos have nothing but positive comments. That is truly inspiring given the current status of KZread.

I stopped painting in 1971 whilst I was in high school. 50 years later I started all over again this week. It’s tough going having forgotten my brush strokes. Boy am I happy I have started painting again.

I watched him years ago and am still amazed by the ease he can make things happen. What an artist! God bless him.

I think it was back in the '70s when these shows first aired that my brother and I would sit in amazement. We watched Bill Alexandar, and Bob Ross paint these paintings in less than 30 minutes and were utterly stunned at how beautiful they were. Thanks to KZread my daughters knows who these men are and proudly wears their Bob Ross sweatshirts!

Amen Joe. I was in my early teens when I discovered Bill, and then Bob. With so much revolving around VietNam, college protests, rock and roll and marijuana, these shows had great appeal to me. It was a chance to relax and breath. Bill and Bob were safe from conflict , and weren't trying to sell anything, but to simply share their joy with others. I just finished painting this scene along with him, and I am so happy with the results! The first time I just scraped the paint off in rage, and restarted it. I started again and I had to stop twice because things weren´t going well. But today I finally I finished, and I can say that I learned to stop doing the mountains when I don't think they look good, and same with the grass, and go to the next thing. You can always come back and keep going. Here are some things I learned: I divided the paint, I put the paints for the highlights on the plastic palette, and the dark ones on a paper plate, and the white for the mountains in another plate (I think I will buy two more plastic palettes because the paper plates are not that great, but they did the job). I got a lot of brushes! It helped me so much! I had a bunch of brushes for the greens, other for the darks, and like that you don't need to wash them so much and you save some paint. Also I realized I need to mix the paint well before putting the brush in the paint, specially the highlights, much more oily. And FINALLY my hands are able to use the brush and pallet knife super gently. It only took me 10 paintings to learn! For the extra paint, I bought some small containers and I put them in there, and into the freezer, like that I can used them for the next painting. Also I use nitrile gloves while painting, so much easier to clean the paint of off them than your hands. I even found a place in my yard where i can beat the devil out it! BEST PART EVER! Now I look at all the little happy accidents, and they are beautiful, because I got to paint, I got to learn, and to do something new. Bob Ross has been such a blessing for me. His painting advice is aplicable in so many other areas of life, and I never thought I could paint, but thanks to him, I realized that if I like it, and I practice I CAN! I really recommend everyone to try it at least once (with the right paints and tools). It makes you see what a gifted man he was, and also you see that with a bit of practice you can create a beautiful piece of art!

I used to watch him all the time as a kid. I've just now started wanting to start painting and it's making me miss him more and more. R.I.P. Mr. Ross.

It's amazing that even something as mundane as washing a paintbrush can bring him so much joy that he giggles like a kid in a candy store. What a gentle soul he was.

For years, I've watched Bob Ross. I really enjoyed this particular episode because he was very Informative.

I’m so happy to find this video, it Brings back nice memories when I lived in USA. I used to watch this program. With this program I learned not only how to paint I also learned English. I think that was PBS.

when I was little my grandma would put this on for me to fall asleep to everyday, I miss him. RIP Bob Ross

Art class was a happy place for me in school and my teacher was great. I watched Mr Ross create magic in minutes on TV when he was with PBS. I'm grateful to have learned from him in many aspects of creativity. The fact that he was a Master Sergeant in the Air Force speaks volumes about his character as a person. Slow salute to a legendary man.

Bob Ross's birthday should be a national holiday

My dad was Arnie longboat he was very well known for soap stone sculptures all over the world in museums and we use to watch Mr Ross all the time. He passed 2 years ago this November but I recently discovered the artistic ability in my dad was passed down to me and my daughter through painting. I so admire Mr Ross as my father did, many times he would watch him then suddenly run to his workshop inspired to create his next master piece. I can picture my father fishing with Mr Ross in heaven. Rest in peace both of you talented humble, inspiring men.

Bob Ross was awesome he was not only an amazing artist but had such a peaceful and soft tone about him while he painted. It was sad he died so young.

Miss him every morning when l use to live in SLC, Utah. l watched him Saturday morning on KUED. RIP Bob Ross........

JustMe215 you found the wrong information. Jane (Bob’s second wife) passed away in 1992. This was long after Bob was first diagnosed with lymphoma as he had been in remission for over a decade by then. His lymphoma came back in full force in 1994. He married Lynda in 1995 and passed away a couple of months after. The sadness he was experiencing was likely referring to the illness or passing of his mother, Ollie. She died in February of 1991.

This guy is terrific I love growing up with this guy watching him is like laying back and smoking a joint for those who don't smoke he's like sitting back and having a large glass of Pinot noir and for those who don't drink and he's great to fall asleep to with his extremely relaxing voice and rugged good looks... Now I'm getting ridiculous like I got a man crush on him but really he is terrific God bless him and his family have a nice day

Bob Ross, when you laugh and smile, it makes my day. I hope you laughed and smiled a lot in your life. I bet you're smiling now with all those happy little trees....

Bob ross is truly a great person, he has a super _soft and calming_ voice, his charisma is in the sky, he might be famous, but he treats the viewers like hes talking spespifcly to you, he might have died from cancer in 1994 and never made his KZread channel, but he still has 2 million subscribers. Bob, you truly made the world a better place, you saved people from suicide, you made depression go away from many people, you made me start drawing, i know you arent alive but he deserves the respect, he truly does.

Bob brought the wonder of inspiring and comforting landscape painting in everybody's reach. Such a democratic artist. Miss him.

Every time i hear Bob say calmly “there” as he adds a little touch, I always feel deep in my soul that it’s like a little reflection of God’s satisfaction when He created our world, and it lifts my spirit up

"The least little touch of cad yellow" at 3:20. Whenever I do these paintings I drunkenly turn that touch into a hideous blob.

you really do have to do like he says, the smallest amount on your 2 inch. Draw out the paint really thin on you pallet, so there's a very small amount, spread out a lot. Then pick it up with your brush. Hope that helps!

Uniquely Ana I feel like crying because of how soft and kind Bob is, not tears of sadness but happiness. He is the reason I believe there is still good in the world.

He is with us forever... I LOVE YOU BOB REST IN PEACE

Everytime his brush touch the canvas already an art to me..

I love how he has conversations with the viewer as if you're right there in the room with him

Bob Ross's painting technique is deceptively simple yet intricate. I enjoy watching such things, but I don't have the courage to attempt them myself. It feels almost magical to witness. It's wonderful.
