I dunno, the dad not only had his passengers in the bow making the boat the bow-heavy in choppy seas, he also stuffed it, soaking his wife and son. At least they had lifejackets on, kudos for that, but they should have been amidships or in the stern, not the bow, in those conditions.

Tough call at 4:00. He would probably get upset over just about anything. The gal driving the blue center console had her boat on plane which is faster than the "Slow Speed - No Wake" restriction within the canal. The current in that canal is raging at times so boats need to use some throttle to just make headway. Thing is, if she were to slow down, that boat would throw even a larger wake. Like I said .. tough call. Ohhh I miss the days when I regularly transited that canal. At times its better than rides at Six Flags 😁 And Wavy Boats .. I hail from Point Pleasant, NJ 😊

I’m from Massachusetts. Half of the boats in this video I see on the CT river. They don’t look like they belong out there… also, if I ever yelled at my pops like that he woulda beat me with a fishing pole! Lol

I'm from VT and my family has only ever used our boats in lakes. Was required by law in CT and VT to take a basic boater course to operate our boat because I was under 16, and I conpleted the course when I was 13. I wouldn't even attempt to go out on the lake in our 16' Sunbird if the waves were bigger than 6". Many of these people are completely oblivious to the capabilities of their boats. Like, the ones meant for lakes, not oceans...

Why is everyone in such a hurry? Life on a boat is supposed to be relaxing, nice mixed drink, tunes and good people. Amazes me now many peeps but want to go as fast as they can ,, all the time . As you get older and wiser you realize that the journey is way more important than the destination

Blue boat was doing the perfect speed for the conditions. It's not a wake free zone in chop like that. Mr Cranky on the other hand was way too slow and giving his crew a beating while flipping off Ms Blue. :-)

It always boggles my mind. When you trim your motor up, it raises the bow, and will prevent stuffing when going low speed/no wake. I haven't seen a single person running with a trimmed motor. It's astonishing to me.

I remember the old 88 bridge in the 70s . Wood pilings and super narrow . In a 15 foot glastron tri hull with a 60 hp merc . Yung and dumb . More for fun you no believe.

I've navigated this canal many times over my boating life i'm guessing that most of this video footage is on a weekend where the boating traffic is at its peak volume, combine that with the wicked current and wake wash is what your seeing, additionally some of those boats have no business there and should have stayed on a non tidal lake or river.
