Great video as always. P s. I use a silicone spray after cleaning the chain guard or the primary sprocket cover on the inside. It helps stop the dirt from sticking quite as bad and helps next time you clean them off. I use silicone spray on a cloth on wheel rims too. Helps remove the next dirt easier when u wash the bike down..then I reapply a fresh layer with a cloth.

I just bought this same bike. 2017 f800gs. Took it on a four dayer with plenty of dirt. Chain looked iffy beforehand and sure enough it stretched significantly during the trip. Toast at 14k miles. This video was perfect, thank you. Many good tips. 116 links on this DID chain?

@TheOldMechanic What you think, why not use endless chain at this bike? What is your opinion reflected on this bike model, cause the "Schwinge" atachement is very easy or i`m wrong? Nice helpful content by the way, it helps a lot!

Hi Krste, the R1200R has the same engine as I do, among a lot of other parts. When its good maintained its a very good engine. Because of the oil I use the oil consumption is barely zero..! We are just home from a 3000km trip, with a lot of toll roads doing 130 km/h. I checked the oil level and its at the same as when we left. I am planning making a video about it 😉👍🏻👊🏻🏍

Hey Old Mechanic, goeie video weer!

LG
