How in the world did this car not exceed the decibel regulations at this track?!?

So quick time, and great video. You were obviously happy with your lap. What modifications over standard have you done. I have an e90 M3 Comp Pak. Thanks for sharing Jp

Thanks! This was a 92db day. I keep my stock rear exhaust around for visits to Laguna Seca. So for Laguna, an Akrapovic X-pipe goes into the stock rear section, and you can see I'm 100% on throttle in 3rd going past the booth and I had no sound problems. (Normally the Akra goes into a straight through exhaust setup with Vibrant resonators. That would be far too loud for 92db.) However, after the management change, they've changed something in their sound recording setup because now I'm being told I'm 93.4db......so I have to lift on 92db days. Blah.

(I've heard that, since the management change at the track, a lot of people who were under the sound limit before are struggling to make sound now.......)

Thanks! The data is collected in the car by an AIM Solo 2 DL timing device that is tied into the car’s CAN bus. The data is exported as a csv file. The video is a GoPro recording. Race Render 3 is the app I use to combine the data and video. You can create your own gauges with a custom look in RR3 if you want. It takes a bit of work to get up to speed in RR3, but one you have a template setup, it doesn’t take long to make a video.

@@driver46 We got 280/650/18front--300/650/18rear to work. Took some effort.

Deep to be a bit more patient with the trail braking ! For example like in turn 3 seems like your released the brakes too quick which caused the front end to pop back up giving u some understeer

00:26 Was there lots of understeer on the 3rd corner or I'm just imagining it?

Yes, Turn 3 is setup to make the car understeer. You have to be patient there. Plus, the car was also setup to understeer during that video, so I had to be even more patient there.

What kind of power are you putting down? I'm getting 110mph before hitting brakes before corkscrew. You were at 155mph. pretty impressive. Great driving!

Michael Baxi Media (I’m hitting 115mph before the Corkscrew, not 155.) The car had about 550whp at the time of this video.

Yes there's more room on the outside of Turn 6 exit. Going through that turn is a bit uncomfortable. You get sucked down to the apex. I had soft springs at the time and car was almost bottoming out in the apex of T6, so going through there faster didn't feel very good. Keeping the speed high requires a lot of confidence in that turn. And I don't visit the track very often.

@@7speedM I've only driven on that track in sims and you don't need to mind about possible damage to the car in that case. Nice driving!

Wanted to know also. im drivng Laguna this June. Stock E92 m3. First in Laguna for M3. Got 1:48 on my Evo there last year.. Good drive man!
