At 1:44, I reached the same conclusion. "The girls pulled through like they always do." In other words, reinforcing bad habits, and they'll push new limits, because they got away with it the last time. A grizzled old mariner needs to have a sit down with them and set them straight. These girls are trifling with the ocean; they're going to find themselves on a one-way trip to Davy Jones' Locker at the rate they're going. They may have good maneuvering skills, etc. but they don't have good judgement or decision-making skills.

We all know they’ve got the balls but we should also notice they are very skilled in their handling of those waters. They take waves how they should (albeit to fast), they don’t turn in a break, they pay attention and are very situationally aware. I for one look forward to see what they do with the Dauntless 👍🏽

The giant blue wind sail fitted as a sunscreen roof was not helping them .. they got lucky

and maybe put the top down on windy days esp on smaller lighter craft reminds me of a will rogers saying good judgement comes from experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgement hopefully they learn faster than they can get hurt i had dirt bikes and street bikes ,boats , skied water and snow and found in all of them and others that when u push things to their limits that limit smacks back pretty hard sometimes

Those two gals in the legend are some of the most skilled I’ve seen. Unbelievable control and fun factor is 10+

I'm watching that "life flashing before your eyes" moment again. That lil boat, their well placed balance, and everything else to help that wild and fast recovery. I bet the ride back into the current was a slow and feeling the release of the panic. Definitely glad the life jackets were on. Those two young women are gonna battle again. Lol. I have one question....what is your rescue plan? Cuz, you didnt need it on that day,, but you will with that kind of crazy courage on another day,, for certain.

Rescue plan is call 911 and let the professionals with the pro gear handle it. The first thing they teach in first aid is asses the risk to yourself, so you don't add to the number of people needing rescue.

FYI, those are buoyancy aids, not life jackets. They’ll help you to float but if you’re unconscious you’ll be floating facedown. (They’re obviously far better than the non-existent buoyancy aids or life jackets everyone else has)

@@gerrywhelan5761 you can get inflatable ones, including ones that automatically inflate if you fall in, which is great if you get knocked out as you fall in. Those are the lowest profile of all option. You're right though the huge foam ones are bulky and awkward.

These vids are great: good captions, clear pics and an absence of voiceover hyperbole. The images do that for themselves.

I've always enjoyed watching the Blue Top Legend take on the inlet, but I can always hear the outboard motor mounts and transom screaming from here!

Exactly. I was trying to explain this in another video, along with their lack of throttle control when jumping and almost busting their teeth out on the console. Anyone can get in a boat and just send it every time, it's not hard. I think they get way too much credit than they're worth.

My folks lived on the Intercoastal in Cape Coral for many yrs. Their next door neighbor was a guy about same age as I. My buddy & I were going down for Spring Break from College many yrs ago & my dad had been telling me about this guys toys, drag car, race ready offshore etc. Mind you, although growing up on boats in Michigan my whole life, my only experience on a go fast boat was my folks 37' Formula with inboard 454's built, Dad named it "The Wicked One". Anyway, that sob was fast, but nothing compared to the neighbors boat. Dude was awesome, he & his buddy took us out & cruised @ 110 across the Gulf. He knew everyone everywhere we stopped, it was a blast! Until he did as you stated, we were jumping the wakes of the freighters entering the Intercoastal & cracked his boat on both sides right at the transom. He laughed it off & said "It's only money". lol

We run tour boats in Prince William sound Alaska, a few smaller ones, 24 ft Boston whalers for closer in tours and fishing and 3 bigger boats for longer trips out to see the glaciers. If one of these women applied with us and I had seen these videos I would never hire them. Their recklessness is astonishing, neither of them would ever get a license. What we see here is luck, it's not skill, at least not what I see in terms of being professional. It's fun to watch but can so easily turn deadly.

I don't mean this as disrespectful but "those girls have balls". That was the best part of this video. I am impressed. Thanks for these videos. I was raised in northern California, on the coast. Right I the middle of those beautiful Redwood trees. I miss it terribly. Your videos remind me of home. Thank you for that. Jerry

You can gain some great experience as a youngster with a small boat and big waves. A mate and I used to take on a smaller mouth with our savage snipe and his kestrel, both with 15hp jonos. Big air time until I lost the motor off the transom. Dad was not happy. Kudos btl

I had a 21’ bay boat with a 150 I/o when I was 14. Running that baby in the bayou ripped the top clean off when a branch caught it. 30 years later my parents are still asking why we don’t run with Biminis. Glad there were no cameras around

I’ve been helping a drummer in the Philippines with getting a new drum kit. I’ve always helped musicians around me, but I never thought I would be helping someone on the other side of the Pacific.

My old fishing grounds. Incredible bait in that inlet and quick to load up the livewell too. Mahi & Wahoo 1 mile out + Blue Marlin 5 miles out = Paradise! Only a few times did I ever pass on the inlet due to weather and use the next inlet south (Lighthouse Point).

Not only can you identify the boat at 6:42, but can you identify the "Deck Hand"? I want to hire her!

The young lady at the helm on "Blue Top" can easily pursue a career in ocean rescue, USCG, USN, Lifeguard, LEO, etc.

Those girls can drive! Kept their flags intact and wore their vests and no little kids or beer in the boat. That's a big W.

I think I saw the bilge pumping out brown water!

If that engine quits or misses a beat it doesn't matter how awesome of a boat captain you are. In those swells that close to the rocks you're done.

Oh yes! The Man, The Myth, the legend of BLUE TOP! I think we need to show mad respect not just for the huge balls on this legend, but mad respect for the hull design in general badassness of Boston Whaler. Even if he gets swamped I'll bet you the boat still floating! HUGE BALLS!

Slams like a sheet of plywood and will soak you in any amount of wind but I've never stuffed the bow or taken a wave over the bow. It does a good job of making me too miserable to want to stay out there.

I need a boat

Yeah that could have easily gone the other way. On a positive note, neither one of them fell out. They were braced and holding on with full tenacity.

Awe that last set put the “Fear” in the BTL crew ! They better step it up, their on the verge of losing their crown 👑

The girls sure seem to have alot of fun with that little boat and the knowledge they gain from driving like that will make them better captains later.

You can definitely tell that scared them half to death. They ran that boat so carefully back in.

Looks like that wave taught them a lesson, you have to have some respect for the water. They almost lost it. I'm glad they made it through and no one got hurt. Those girls are fearless. I would have been s******* in my pants 🩳👖🩳

The legend here is the seaworthiness of, even the smallest, Boston Whaler!

Can't decide which is most legend, the boat, the girls, or that blue top that never wavers!

That blue top does them no favors in the wind that’s what pulled them up in the air so quick

Helps them with the impact a little.

I have a '93 Dauntless 15. It's just AMAZING doing these types wake jumping things. I don't even think about pulling the stunts these girls did in their 13 ft but, I felt like I had it all the way out of the water and turning 20 degrees while in the air...awesome boats. Bilge pump? Naaah, water runs out the scuppers

Always a good idea to mess around with the hook end of your fishing line whilst going through the largest swells of the day.
