Blue Devil Head Gasket Sealer fixed my E46 BMW 325ci Engine - 5000 MILE TEST

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

My BMW was running rough, losing coolant, giving off white smoke, and giving me misfire codes. I thought I had to get a new engine for sure. Instead, I tried Blue Devil pour-n-go head gasket sealer, and it worked. Don't let a blown head gasket end your car.
Follow along as I diagnose the problem, do a compression check, summon the blue devil, publicly humiliate myself, and confirm the results. Over 5000 miles later, this car is running strong without issue! I still don't know if I had a cracked head, a warped head, or just a crack in the head gasket, but the Blue Devil sealed the leak and I am happy.
Remember to check and follow the specific instructions provided by BlueDevil for the proper application of their head gasket sealer. It's also important to note that while these products may provide temporary solutions for certain issues, a more permanent fix often involves proper mechanical repairs. Always consult with a professional mechanic for advice on the best course of action for your specific situation.

    So not follow this guys example. You shouldnt pull the plug because how is the sealant going to have the pressure to seal any cracks in that hole if he just has it open to the environment and dont get me started in opening the rad cap while hot.

    Hello genius! Congratulations on that work, although with some mishaps, but it worked! I'm about to do the same thing on a 2008 x3 that is blowing smoke and I discovered that blue coolant is clearly visible in the hole of spark plug 4, the other spark plugs come out dry, is it necessary to remove the thermostat? And if I take it out, how do I deal with the holes that join the water pump? I'm sorry for asking so much but I'm researching elsewhere and I can't find any information. I thank you for your informative video and when you can, please answer my questions? thank you

    you can look for bubbles in the coolant tank if you open at startup BEFORE it heats up... (did you see my silly hot peek?) if the coolant is bubbling, you are getting pressure from somewhere.

    @@robdude1969 Well, this morning I removed the #3 spark plug which is where the leak was and it was dry! Did a test run before draining, flushing, and refilling with coolant although I did change the oil, and she runs great. So it seems to have worked! When the rain passes here in So. Cal. I'll flush it out, reinstall the thermostat, and refill with new coolant. Overall, a successful process! Thanks for your tutorial

    You’re killing me! You took the cap off to see if there’s pressure when you have a relief valve right next to it! You open the valve ya dingaling! If you want to do a what not to do that’s cool but you could have easily given yourself 2nd or 3rd degree burns there. I was shocked there wasn’t a string of cursing when it popped. If you ever HAVE to open a hot radiator cap rig up some kind of a long pole and a pipe wrench or something and have a heavy blanket over the top of it.

  • @robdude1969

    @robdude1969

    The e46 is notorious for having issues with overheating. If any part of the cooling system fails from a leaking o-ring or a crack in the plastic, coolant levels may drop and engine temps can climb above normal. If you don't let the engine cool, the head may warp slightly or even crack. The coolant channels are very close to the cylinders and the gap formed by a failure can let coolant and exhaust mix. Telltale signs are rough starts, white smoke from moisture, smell of burning coolant. Check Engine light may come on and a OBD2 reader will give you misfire codes.

    I did this on a 2007 Mercedes Gl450 it was my last option. It was getting a little oil in the coolant system, no blown head gasket or low coolant. I replaced the typical which was the oil cooler, cooler gasket, oil housing gasket and a new radiator incase it was the transmission cooler built in the radiator. But still oil in the coolant, or maybe I over exaggerated and just needed to remove the reservoir and flush it out. But I used the new pour and go 2x sealing power hopefully it works 😳
