Yeah, best of three is still my default mode, but I have been mixing in more best of one lately, but most videos will be best of three.

I almost exclusively play Standard Brawl, and Celestus is one of the most played cards in that format. I have never seen it pop off as hard as M2G1.

Nice to see you return to best of 3 again.

Seth needed to side in those soul-guide lanterns in against monoblue. No graveyard means djinn are small and terrors are expensive.

Seth, vs this version of mono blue, graveyard hate is backbreaking against them since their only threats both need the graveyard to be good. Soul guide is a good sideboard against them(unlicensed hearse even better)

Invoke Despair would be so good in this deck…

Yeah, first match i momentarily wondered why he wasn't playing Invoke and then immediately remembered why I haven't played mono black in months. 😂

Made a deck very similar and made it to mythic instantly. Even though it's not "burn" 3- Archfiend of the Dross is a massive tank to have.

Bloodletter of Alclazots looks pretty good for mono black devotion in Explorer as well. Can't remember if we have a gary in that format or not though.

We do, that Mono-Black Devotion with Bloodletter is high on my list of decks to try. Curving it into Gary seems absurd!

This feels like a deck that non budget versions would want Sheoldred over the pranks, but this is a really fun idea.

fun fact: of you click on the gingerbread house three times on the eldraine map, a witch pops out with food. and if you click the chair there is also a unique animation

Black burn is a classic! Seth has played many variations of the archetype and it's always fun.

YES, I loved this archetype last rotation and i love that fell stinker is here, always a satisfying way to burn out an opponent

Does corrupt have a place in this deck? I love that card and will def be trying this list with at least one or two corrupt. Also Knight of Dusk's Shadow could be a good sideboard inclusion to hamper life gain

Hey Seth! You should do a threefold thunderhulk with mondrak, the triple token god, kami, and green/white virtue with protection! People quit quickly! Pair with avabruck caretaker to make board hexproof and you're set!

I’m playing mono blue every time Seth posts a blood moon deck

On the new food playmat, I distinctly see fluids in the cereal bowls. Are we sure Seth is the right signature for that one's token? 😂 I do appreciate the meme references to past food takes, like that and the pizza toppings.

Should probably have boarded in the soul guide lanterns against mono-blue. Both their threats really suck if they can't keep spells in the graveyard

I'd love to see a Black Devotion version of this deck in Pioneer. The bloodletter into gary is 10 life loss on its own... you can easily drop 5 more devotion before that and you threaten to just win on turn 5 if unanswered haha

The Underworld Dreams + big black draw spell (don't remember the name) is perfect, because that draw spell also combos with the bloodletter

Great games! Pretty sure we never saw Vraan trigger though. Very unfortunate it only activates on other creature's deaths. Maybe replace Jadar? He would make dudes to seing with/sacrifice to draw cards/pad out the sacrifice mode of Rankle's Prank.

I am really not that great at Magic, but I have noticed recently that when I play on Arena (which I use for practice and learning mechanics) that using simple singular decks have given me a couple of "easy" wins. Playing with mono red or white is just simple and easily abusive.

While it would because it's sheoldred, it doesn't actually fit the theme of the deck because unless your opponent draws on your turn, the bloodletter doesn't combo with Sheoldred.

I think you did miss 1 trick in deckbuilding: High fae negotiator from WOE. You're already making tokens out the wazoo, it's an evasive threat, and it doesn't die to cut down.

Ehat about a budgetless version? Article has only an image of sheldrod. I have sheldrods and braids and most old rares and mythics. This deck is cool because i needed only 4 mythics

Why the hell were the Hopeless Nightmares never pitched to scry? They just sat there on the field doing NOTHING.

I think I'd rather run a couple High Fae Negotiators to bargain the Nightmares instead of that random equipment, but hey.

Drawing one card is better than scrying 2 because a bird in the had is worth 2 in the bush.

Surprised to not see Sheoldred with opponent losing 4 life when they draw.

Topped decked is real. Really hate it when opponent got extremely lucky with it.

Yeah, its been said already, but you bring in gy hate vs mono blue, djinn and terror both need a graveyard to work right. Otherwise, it seems to me like that guy might have been playing a few too many card draw spells, he kept hitting more when he needed a counter. Flow of knowledge is great but i really don't like it as a 4x
