Block Out a Bright Color First
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
In today's video, I'll guide you through starting a scene without feeling overwhelmed.
Begin by blocking out your main shape using a bright, fun color. This forms your foundation, allowing you to enjoy the process and draw freely using bold tools.
I'm using a Pink Posca Marker as the base and a black Caran d'Ache Neocolor 1 wax crayon for textured details without being overly precise.
The sketchbook I use contains simple sketch paper, and the size is about A5.
If you like my videos here on KZread, then you can help me keep making them and offering them weekly for free. For just a few dollars a month you're making a huge difference. Hadn't heard of that! Now you also won't have any FOMO around drawing buildings!
I love this one so much! What a beautiful piece and the fact that it's not exact to the photo makes it so whimsical and fun! Thank you for this one! Super inspirational!

Happy to help!
simple and inspiring. So often new artists feel the need for detail. Loose drawing techniques are so valuable to keep a person mindful of imperfections, which can be interesting. Thank you, Koosje.😊😊

I love how you used pink as the background for the church. When you added the figures it gave it movement. I need to try this. Thank you.

Adding figures in your drawings brings so much life! Hey fun.
Oh Koosje that is just brilliant, I love the way you made the people into bunches of frilled shapes. BRILLIANT

Fabulous idea, Koosje! I'm travelling in a couple of months and this is a terrific way to do quick drawings. I'd never heard of uni's POSCA markers before. Will pick up one or two for my trip. That is, if they are not at risk of being confiscated by airport security! (My friend had all her oil paint tubes confiscated...)

You don't need post markers for this. You can do it with quick watercolor shapes or Gouache paint just as well.
😍❤
Did you say gouache? I have been asking you for gouache demos and you were saying that you are no expert. Well there we are!
@KoosjeKoene

This is not gouache. This is Posca marker. But you could use gouache instead. Still not an expert.
