Block Out a Bright Color First

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
In today's video, I'll guide you through starting a scene without feeling overwhelmed.
Begin by blocking out your main shape using a bright, fun color. This forms your foundation, allowing you to enjoy the process and draw freely using bold tools.
I'm using a Pink Posca Marker as the base and a black Caran d'Ache Neocolor 1 wax crayon for textured details without being overly precise.
The sketchbook I use contains simple sketch paper, and the size is about A5.
If you like my videos here on KZread, then you can help me keep making them and offering them weekly for free. For just a few dollars a month you're making a huge difference. More importantly, you're doing yourself a favor, because I’ll keep you inspired and motivated with extra pieces of encouragement, sharing projects and processes, handing ideas, tips and tricks and much more on Patreon. / koosjekoene

Fabulous idea, Koosje! I'm travelling in a couple of months and this is a terrific way to do quick drawings. I'd never heard of uni's POSCA markers before. Will pick up one or two for my trip. That is, if they are not at risk of being confiscated by airport security! (My friend had all her oil paint tubes confiscated...)
