When I was 5 we went to this place for a field trip for my school. It started normal blah blah until me and my friend Alex got left behind. We were lost for several minutes,we asked a lady to help us find Sharen (the lady we were assigned with). We found her and when the rest of the people got to us THEY WERE FUCKING PISSED. Now I don’t remember where we were exactly but I think it was near a section with goats.

Bad representing of Des Moines' best : the zoo on a rainy day when the animals are active and it's practically abandoned. The otter enclosure BADLY needs the tank cleaned. The giraffes and rhinos are in their barns. I would rather visit the local animal shelter where the animals are lively and interactive. This was sad, very sad. 😢
