  Can I please eat my words now? I left a bag of trash in middle of the floor. It had all kinds of gross food stuff and smelly rotten food. Luckily i was able to get a neighbor to come and grab it. I guess I do need to add to the list as you said. Sorry I have a big mouth😢​@@skeller61

  Bad representing of Des Moines' best : the zoo on a rainy day when the animals are active and it's practically abandoned. The otter enclosure BADLY needs the tank cleaned. The giraffes and rhinos are in their barns. I would rather visit the local animal shelter where the animals are lively and interactive. This was sad, very sad. 😢

  How have you found living in Des Moines as a minority? As a Hispanic Im very likely to move to the city to see what it’s like as the cost of living and job market is attractive but am a bit nervous moving as I know some parts of the Midwest have known racism. From what I’ve read Des Moines seems to be somewhat diverse and accepting.

  Des Moines is pretty diverse, have a large Hispanic community as well! You should feel pretty comfortable here!
