- Condos in the area are mostly 2 bedrooms with 1 or 2 stall garage
options, prices starting from the low $100k up to $200k

7. Merle Hay Rd (23:20)
- One of the main roads in the metro area. There is Blue Pearl
Emergency Pet Hospital, Twisted Bean Coffee Company, and many
car dealerships along this stretch of the road
- Food options are Buffalo Wild Wings, Popeyes, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle
8. Merle Hay Mall (26:56)
- Iowa's oldest regional shopping mall! There is a huge construction
project to make this mall the home stadium for Des Moines
Buccaneers hockey team, along with a hotel and three more
multi-purpose arena to host games
9. Neighborhood south of Merle Hay Mall (29:13)
- Mainly built in the 1950's, most of them 3 bedrooms with 2 stall
detached garage, and most of them in very affordable price range of
$175k to $250k
- There is a good mix of home types in this area: bungalows, split
foyers or split levels, ranch, 1.5 stories, 2 stories
10. Neighborhood between Douglas Ave, 86th St, Hickman Rd, and 72nd
St (41:51)
- These homes are mainly built in the 1950's, 3 or 4 bedroom homes
with attached or detached garage, prices starting from $200k going to
$300k
- Condos in the area were built in the 1980's, mostly 2 bedrooms with 2
stall garage, prices starting from $140k up to $235k
11. Neighborhood around Urbandale High School (50:50)
- Mainly built in 1970's, 3 and 4 bedroom options, mostly with 2 stall
attached garage, price between $175k to $300k
12. Urbandale High School (59:37)
13. Urbandale Middle School (1:01:24)
14. Urbandale Golf and Country Club (1:04:24)
15. Largest Hyvee in Iowa! (1:05:41)
16. Neighborhood around UGCC (1:08:38)
- Mainly built in the late 1980's, 3 or 4 bedroom options with mostly 2
stall attached garage, price mainly starting in the $250k range all the
way up to $450k range
- Townhome options in the area are mostly 2 bedrooms with 1 stall
attached garage built in the 1990's, priced between $150k to $180k
17. Urbandale Soccer Complex (1:16:30)
18. NW Urbandale Dr (1:17:58)
- Many retail and commercial business along this stretch such as
ReStore Habitat, Tint World, and Homemakers Furniture
19. Neighborhood around Walker Johnston Park (1:22:12)
- Homes here generally built between 1960's to 1980's, 3 to 4 bedroom
options with mostly 2 stall attached garage, price between low $200k
to mid $300k
20. 86th St (1:31:56)
- Good mix of businesses and food options such as The Urban Grill,
Panera Bread, and Taki Japanese Steakhouse
21. Hickman Rd (1:33:52)
- One of the main roads running east-west across the metro!
- The Hickman Auto Mile is located in this zip code, where there are
many car dealerships with a couple mile stretch such as BMW,
Subaru, Mercedes, Honda etc.
- There is also a Carmax here
22. Other businesses on Hickman Rd (1:34:46)
- Other places along Hickman Rd are LifeServe Blood Donation Center,
Once Upon A Child, Living History Farms etc.
