This bypass reduces backup/spillover traffic onto the interstate, and allowing many other business opportunities in the area. Main portion is the flyover itself, but the project also opens up two other interstate exits and connecting roads, which opens up many possibilities for real estate and business development in the northwest corner of the metro.
Average Daily Traffic for I 35/80 and Hwy 141 junction was 98,600 in 2020, expecting to reach 133,000 by 2040 (dsmpartnership.com, Darcy Maulsby’s article, Oct 29, 2020). That is almost 36 MILLION annual traffic count in 2020, and it’s going to be 48.5 MILLION by 2040!! 🤯🤯
Sun, rain, snow, ice, wind, AND the pandemic... all the different circumstances thrown at these construction workers, yet they completed the project on time! 👏👊🏻🙏
