I’ve got yet another exclusive from Blackboxmycar.com, that will allow for up to 48-hours (about 2 days) of parking mode recording without ever taking a sip of your car battery. I want to thank Blackboxmycar.com for sending me this product for free to install and evaluate. They are one of a small group of companies I work with that allow me to speak freely on their products.
They have been selling battery packs at BlackBoxMyCar.com for the last 8 years and they took what they learned along the way to create their own. Here is the Blackboxmycar.com branded BI-750 Battery Pack.
The Bi-750 is thinner and longer so it’s easier to hide than many other brands. A brief review of the specs on paper. when comparing to the Cell Link NEO it has 5% more power capacity at 96Wh (compared to the Cellink’s 76.8Wh) This means for a 1-CH, get up to 48-hours of parking mode (compared with the 40 hours and for a 2-CH, get up to 30 hours of parking mode (compared with the 25 hours from the Cellink NEO)

You have a couple of charging options, included in the box is the simple yet effective power port, AKA cigarette lighter which will get you to full charge in 80 minutes.
-- Real world numbers.
I installed it in my car with the slowest charging method which of course is also the easiest to install. Simply connect it to your power port and use the right output for your cam. My Blackview has accelerometer-based parking mode so the simple power port is all I need.
Also included is the much faster dual charging mode you can achieve full charge in just 40 minutes using the hard-wired connection to 2 accessory ports with the free add a fuse. Be sure to grab the correct fuse for your vehicle. Lastly you have a direct battery connection sold separately, which will also offer the faster charging.
-- Output options
In the box you will get a power plug so for cameras like my Blackvue with accelerometer-initiated Parking mode it is a super simple set up just to plug in the power port, connect the camera , then stash the box. Now other Cams like the Thinkware and Viofo need hardwire kits that have battery and accessory wires to start parking mode. Do not worry Blackboxmycar.com has thought of that and you can select the hardwire option you need at Purchase.
The BI-750 has a Bluetooth app, after a quick and easy connection process you can monitor things like input and output voltage, amperage, charge status and temperature. You can adjust settings, grab the user manual for both the hardware and app.
Another cool thing to mention is it has not one but two USB charging ports, these can be used to power your hotspot for cloud connected cams. I found these USB ports especially useful on a camping trip when I forgot my power pack. I was able to pull the battery out of the car and bring it into the tent to charge our devices.
The convenience of parking mode without worry has been awesome. I sent them a few suggestions regarding the power switch for those of us who park our cars for extended periods of time. I can easily reach in the glove box and turn it off, but I would love to see a bigger or even a remote wired or app based on/off switch. Otherwise for BlackBoxMyCar’s first battery they nailed it with the size and features. So far, the performance of the BI-750 has been remarkably close to the on-paper specifications.

The operating Temps in the specs are 14°F - 158°F. For reference for a car to reach 158F it would need to be out in the sun on a 105 F degree day for 6 hours and it would still be operational.

Hi, I have a question about the BI-750 dash cam battery. I am looking to buy the Blackvue DR900X 2-channel. I want to have Parking mode always on 24/7. But I don’t drive the car much, sometimes once a week for one hour or less. What is the best option for my case? Can I recharge the BI-750 inside the house using a wall outlet with cigarette socket adapter? Thank you

Sorry I thought I replied to this one... I had asked how often you drive the car and if you had access to an outlet near your car. If you have access to an outlet, that would not compromise the security of the car you can connect the car to a battery tender, then just run the camera 24/7 and the tender will make sure your battery stays topped off. When you need to drive the car, just pop off the clips or quick disconnect and drive off. Then as you drive you will charge up the BI-750 for when parking in public. I have not done a video on the battery tender yet, but I have done a few Instagram stories showing the hook up. If you park the car longer than 2 weeks this is something you should have. If not you will need to charge it up every other day with the inverter and while charging you can run your dash cam off an always on power outlet. I've been successful with running a cam for 3 full days (on a good battery) before is start to hear the car struggle with starting. So essentially you can

@@WorkPlayDrive Thank you very much for all this helpful information, really appreciated. On average, I drive approx 100 miles a month. I probably will buy two BI-750 and use one while recharging the other one using the AC-DC inverter inside the house. I can then switch batteries every 12 hours.

Just a thought what about a home security cameras to watch the car? I keep an eye on my outside and driveway with nest cams.

@@WorkPlayDrive That is a great idea...I am still looking for an outdoor camera that shows everything day and night including license plates. Ideally a camera that can identify anything coming close to my yard. Too many options out there makes it too difficult to decide...PTZ, 9 inch cameras, 8 mega pixels, and many more. And then you have what they call the IR distance which is too confusing. It would be nice to be able to see everything in pitch black hundreds of feet away.

@@WorkPlayDrive yes, Blackboxmycar has the best customer support I've ever dealt with from any company. They gave me some options, but none of them worked. I'm hoping it's an app issue and not a device problem.
