I think Bill had prepped for the interview hoping he would spend the hour talking about being black in Hollywood and back in the day stories from an older perspective of what its like being one of the most handsome men out there. When Billy didn't want to go there, he was out of material. Billy was first a painter! There are a million things to ask him that in sure he has interesting views on. But can see why Bill went there...many guests have their speel and Billy dee was doing his own thing. Imagine that!
Bill tries to make everything salacious and Billy remains the charming gentleman with solid logic as Bill messes with his own head.

Billie is a lot like my mentor, who is also 87 years old. He keeps you off balance very well and knows how to fuck with you. And also calls you on your bullshit in the same way Billie does. I see Maher is intimidated by Billie so this is good to see Bill's ego get exposed. Humility is an achilles heal for Maher and a lot of us humans. Its one of the hardest skills to learn. And even harder to learn as we age. Billie has this lesson of humility oozing from his pores.
Not to turn this to politics but I will anyway. 87 year old man, wise, on point. It’s not Biden’s age. If Biden could sit down and coherently have a conversation many wouldn’t see his age as an issue. This goes for trump as well!

As a kid, I loved Billy D as Lando but never saw him in a long format interview. What a great guy, with a great perspective and outlook!!
BDW is so calm and chill!!!🥰
This was a fun conversation. BDW loosened up a bit at the 50 minute mark after his wine soaked in. Bill Maher is clearly a fan...and well deserved.

He put Bill in his place
By far the funniest 😅😅😅 was driving , laughing and crying 😂😂
I love Billy's philosophy. It's inspiring and enchanting. He isn't afraid of expressing individuality and that's reflected in his artistic endeavors.
After Bill M asks "That must've been lucrative?" The way Billy says "Absolutely" = Gold. I loved this guest.
Love how the red cushion looks like shoulder pads 😅

The great Billy Dee Williams teaches us about a show in the early years of television

He’s too cool for that nonsense ❤
Billy Dee put Maher in his place ! Bill couldn't instigate trouble or controversy.
I really enjoy most of the shows, BUT this one was AWKWARD! I did like the "stop talking about race" comment. We can't expect every show to be perfect. I certainly appreciate Bill Maher and his work.

You side with Maher? He deserved the pushback by Billy Dee. And the convo was still great

I saw that too! It reminded me of something that they would wear in the old Flash Gordon movies.
The ppl in the next room in the hotel could have banged on Bill’s door and said ‘’quit banging on the door!’’
* I enjoyed the show a lot. My takeaway, though, is that BDW doesn't love Bill and believes Maher is a crude dude.
