a good sense of humour is essential in Scotland. In some places like the highlands You will not make it through the winter unless you can engage In banter. The Scots are more than aware of how the weather can be miserable despite the season, the appropriate term is Dreak. Its ment to describe a certain type of scottish weather thats made up of about 3 seperate recognised type off different kinds of weather that all come together to form dreak. The thick fog reduces light to make a very gloomy darkness, usually cold which causes horrible soggy hanging water vapour to precipitate and the tiny drops are noe liquid form and your cloths will suck it all up in minutes and of course good old fashioned rain. maybe ice in the colder months. And in reply to any negative comments about the weather from a tourist, its Scottish weather and in this country there is no such thing as bad weather just different types good weather. And my favourite. I love summer time in Scotland its the best day of the year.

The first time I watched this was with my mates in my flat on a Saturday evening, we laughed so hard beer shooting out of our noses like 3 feet. It messed up our ears so much we all felt dizzy the next day morning.

There have been many great live shows over the years but I have enjoyed most but somtimes Billy just hits that sweet spot holds there. I have a show in mind that was in my opinion That was towards the end of live show era. I think the tour was called was it somthing I said. At that time i remember we went through one of the first periods where political correction was being flung around and so when took that tour to Australia, He had complete freedom of speech and no restrictions and he ripped into everyone and everything and just cut lose. That night Billy Connolly turned the clocks back 20 odd years that night a proved again that even after 30 odd years he was still number one and he always will be.

I think you misunderstand what being 'policitically correct' means. It means not being an ass to people. And Billy was NEVER an ass to people. There's not a racist/sexist/ageist/disablist/homophobic bone in the man's body. He's ALWAYS had complete 'freedom of speech' and has always used it. He's just never needed to disrespect someone with his humour.
