Stanford, once a bastion for higher education, just used its funding to publish a list of words that are now to be deemed hurtful by us peasants. Funny. My kindergarten taught that sticks and stones are capable of inflicting trauma but only I can allow words to be capable of causing harm…and that was free. Of course, now I speak softly and carry a big stick but really who can assign a value to the lessons in physics AND psychology given to us at such an early age?

Oh please. Palestinians “voted Hamas in” back in 2007, with limited options, the same way the US voted in Trump in 2016. As in: most of the country despised & still despises Trump/MAGA and everything he stands for - ignorance, corruption, spitefulness, pro dictators, anti-democracy, etc. But due to anachronistic processes (the EC), Trump “won” w fewer votes than Clinton. Trump certainly didn’t represent all American citizens, nor does he now. But at least in America we were able to vote Trump out after only 4 years. In Palestine, there hasn’t been a free election since that 2007 vote. Not only does Hamas not want an election, Netanyahu does not want an election, because he needs the Hamas bogeyman. He needs ignorant people to say things like “Palestinians voted Hamas in” so civilians deserve whatever they get.

But the US elections related to this are irrelevant, and Trump voters believe he was fairly elected in 2020 but for cheating by the Dems. We’ll only know the truth in eternity.
