I love that Pete just gives Bill a topic and lets him go.

Bill's rant was so in the zone, how he riffed his way from some material that wasn't working to punchline observations he knew would land before he finished saying it. He had to ride that wave of nervous audience uncertainty to a point that was both funny and soft enough for studio audiences to feel comfortable laughing at. Dudes so legit.

I appreciate that Pete Holmes laughs at things. So many hosts have that "I'm too confident/important to have a reaction" look. It's infectious for me and I start laughing. I'm glad I found this show, I enjoy it very much.

LOL at all the comments who dislike "the host". I expect this channel to get Bill Burr fans, and like Burr said, people as happy as Pete Holmes really agitate him. That's legit what Holmes is like, a dumb cheerful puppy who can't keep a straight face. Just as lovable/hateable as Ricky Gervais, I think. Except Holmes knows not to take over the interview riffing.Obviously, not someone who appeals to strong Burr fans, but at least it's fucking genuine.

There's a distinct difference between passive aggressive and simply trying to construct a comment cleverly (not saying it was especially clever but that it was the clear intention). It was pretty obvious what I was saying so I don't see why that would be considered passive aggressive.

I think I've watched Paper Tiger like 8 times. appreciate and enjoy it more every time, especially the end where Burr is super grateful and appreciative. Thanks for all the joy you've given us Burr and Pete!!

Pete Holmes has this innocent child vibe, so he’s absolutely the perfect foil for Bill. He's like the jaded dad sitting his son down and going, "Listen here, you little shit". Actually, that's pretty much what he does in his Netflix cartoon.

Definitely the norm. Always. Everyone was his favorite comedian, or favorite person on that show. And he always laughs like that and I think it's faker than Dolly Parton's tits.
