I find these videos with Cameron so informative. I love how you and Tina leave it raw so we can hear him. You leave the bad bits in too and we can see just how well his advice works! It's helped me massively with my own schooling :)

THANK YOU for showing the bad as well as the good here. Oh my gosh I have spent so many lessons doing what you did at the beginning: arguing with a horse and it’s never pretty but it happens and you always come out stronger. Sometimes the biggest strides forward come from a rubbish lesson. I can’t tell you how many times my instructor said to me “don’t take it personally” too! So glad you had a good lesson ❤️

lol Silly mare. Love the bit where she spooked at Tina! She's SOOOO nice, Emily! I mean, she really has all the movement you want for dressage, all the scope you could hope for over fences, and she's bold enough for XC. Still some baby horse in there but wow what a difference from when you started her to where you both are now! So excited for your future with her! She's just dripping with potential and you're giving her so many wonderful experiences!

I really admire you for uploading the whole of this lesson and showing the not so nice bits. I think anyone who says they haven't been in that moment when they feel so frustrated and like things are really difficult are lying! Cameron is a brilliant instructor, he knew exactly what to say and do to work you both through it and how fantastic did the lesson end!? you will look back at this lesson in a year time and be so proud of how far you've come I can guarantee! Well done! x

What a great vlog! Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic lesson with us all. I know it isn't easy putting the less than ideal moments out there for the world to see, but there are many of us watching your journey who truly appreciate that you keep it real & relatable. It's funny isn't it how changing one thing with our riding can make so much of a difference to our horses way of going. Once the elastic elbows/ less defensive position clicked for you, Addie's approach into the fence changed so much. It was great to see that change in real time (so much harder when you are riding it- well at least for me anyway 😜) You definitely picked a horse you can progress on with Addie- she looked like a real jumping machine while doing that exercise! Even before you started jumping tho, there was a couple of times where you were trotting her & she just looked entirely classy 😍So I was not surprised to hear Cameron later say he feels she is a 3 star horse- she is certainly showing glimpses of being very talented now. I'm very excited to watch your journey together... Maybe a future series of Addie & yourself aiming for a special event ala Meg & Jam with Badminton grassroots 😉😎
