Oh Em! I know this is the hardest choice you could have had to make. She's an incredible horse and a credit to you. I can't say the decision to part ways is surprising knowing the struggles Lola has with the jumping but I know she will go on to do very well and that she will always hold part of your heart. Seeing her say "goodbye" to sprite about broke my heart. Overall thank you for being an incredible mommy to her and so much love to you both as you start your new adventures. Also not much gets me to cry but the clips at the end put me in tears.

Bawling here. The right thing is often the hard thing, thank you for being brave enough to share your decision Emily. Lola’s new owner sounds lovely and whilst we know Lola will be fine it’s still a huge loss for you. Sending hugs 💗

I can only imagine how hard that was I’ve owned my boy for 9 years and watching this just really made me emotional 😭. Take the time you need to adjust to Lola no longer being at home with you and know you’ve made the right decision for both of you. 💜

Omg I've been absolutely bawling the whole way through. My heart absolutely breaks for you, Emily, as I know the pain you are going through. 10 years ago we had to make the really difficult decision to sell my childhood pony and it was one of the hardest things that I've ever had to do, but it was what was best for both of us as we wanted to go in different directions like you and Miss Lola. Like a lot of people have said, the right thing is often the hardest thing to do. It's the absolutely endless love for her and selflessness that you have that gives someone the strength to make a decision that is best for the horse. You are brave for making this decision, and I know that things will look up. Thoughts with you, your family and Miss Spritey.

I have not been watching for very long until KZread recommended you it has only been about 6 months that i have been watching you but this broke my heart to see Lola go you had lots of lovely memories together and no one will ever forget them I cried and had tears in my eyes the whole way through this vid and it broke my heart to see you cry and Spritey whinniying for Lola but will never see her again for a while maybe at competitions I love, you, Lola, spritey the dogs and everyone else. Love you all

We had to put one of our horses down. I was holding back the tears... Until one of our other horses called out and kept calling. He knew... He's fine now, but that day really made me sad.

A difficult decision but its so good to think of Lola going off to become the dressage queen she wants to be and to see you moving forward to your next adventure too.

Omg Em my heart is breaking for you sweetheart, I had floods of tears all the way through 😭💔 I know what such a hard decision it is that you have had to make, but you are doing the best thing for both of you at the end of the day. Miss Lola wouldn't be the brilliant little horse she is today without all your hard work and dedication that you have put in over the years, and for that I highly commend you. Zoe is getting a cracking mare thanks to you Em, so you should be very proud hunny. Rather than the end of an era, I'd like to think of it as a new chapter for both of you and I'm so glad you can still go to see her too. Tried to keep it together seeing you in tears but broke down at her and Spritey’s goodbye and am absolutely sobbing. Feels weird seeing that top stall empty, will miss seeing her but I know you’d only let her go to the absolute best home and know she will be well looked after. I know this is very much after the fact and you probably won’t see this but I appreciated seeing this. My young horse, who really has the talent to be a top event horse, just doesn’t love it like I do. She is fab in the dressage and is happiest there. So I’m going to look into finding a dressage home for her! You did what’s best for her and that’s what matters. Not every person wants to event, not every horse wants to event. Makes me feel better going forward with my mare so thank you for sharing!

We bought a horse a month ago who used to event but seems to have gone off jumping. We share his views about jumping and he has already given us a lot of pleasure hacking, dressage lessons and competitions. You've done the same for Zoe. Lola is a credit to you. I noticed her advert while looking on a sales site a few weeks ago. It’s the end of an epic adventure for sure but you have set up miss Lola for success and taught her the skills she need to be an amazing horse for her future. I had one lady call up through word of mouth I hadn’t even properly advertised her yet and I was a mess! Ended up sending her 110 pics/ videos on WhatsApp as my short list of photos and I think she thought… this girl cannot sell this pony!! Such a hard decision to make and so sad, I cried all the way through with you. Had to make the same decision as you many years ago with my first pony and it broke my heart but was right for both of us, the boy I sold her too found me many years later and told me he kept my pony till the very end. The love and training you gave Lola has made her an amazing horse and she will excel in her new home. Stay strong and enjoy all the goods times you had with Lola. I have never ever cried at a KZread video but when you have been around horses for so long you know the pain people go through when selling a horse but also feel the heartbreak for any other companions you have also when Lola was saying goodbye to sprite I broke down because you just know how that would feel to you stay strong Emily looking forward for what’s to come ❤️

Aw this made me so emotional! I sold my pony two years ago now for similar reasons; she wanted to go out jumping and whizzing round whereas I was ready for a quieter life! It broke my heart but I know it was the right decision for both of us. Look how far Lola has come, she’s a complete credit to you and your hard work, you should be really proud! X

I'm sorry to see sweet Lola go but like you said she's going to a wonderful home who's goals are more in line with Lola's skill set and what she enjoys. She'll be cared for and loved and happy and able to reach her full potential and once you're ready you'll be able to find a new horse who will align with your goals and you'll grow to adore. I'm sure it feels awful right now but it's only up from here- for both of you!

Know exactly how you feel, I've just sold my pony stallion who I had owned since a 2yo for 7 years, and he has gone all the way to Florida!! I felt incredibly guilty as it was such a long journey, but it has helped that his new owner has constantly updated me and he looks very happy. It was an incredibly difficult decision to make, but it was one that unfortuantely needed to be made for my future with horses. Lola will have a fab life with her new owner I'm sure xx

I understand your reasons Emily and know it's not an easy decision to make,but to give up it is hard to understand.as she's such a wonderful girl, people don't think about the effects on the horse there mental health and bond.youve done so much together and she knows you as her mom. I could never sell my boy ever. I don't mean to upset you but I'd always wonder if there happy and ok, I just couldn't do it. I think as well Sprite will undoubtably miss her so much.i hope it works out for her and she's loved as much as you loved her.

It took me 6 months to put my boy up for sale, I knew it was the right decision for both of us and like you I found the most wonderful family who already love him as much as I do. He left for his new family just over 3 weeks ago and all I can say is it does get easier and you’ll fondly look back at your memories together. I purposely watched videos and looked at photos to have a good cry, then I’d give myself a moment and then do something positive or just eat chocolate and watch my favourite film and it’s helped strangely. Getting updates is wonderful as it helps knowing I made the right decision and I’m sure it’ll help you too. Take care of yourself during these first few weeks. Xxx
