Agreed. This (in combination with a couple of other changes) has made me reconsider my usual energy shield based approach to minion builds. Despite Ghost Reaver being incredibly powerful in these builds (with Bone Barrier) it also deactivates energy shield recharge leaving you pretty vulnerable in situations where your minions can't leech like Uber Shapers bullet hell phase.

Knowing GGG, that leech mastery is probably getting removed in 3.25 💀

I played this week both from Act1-10, because of pre season training runs. Let me tell you one thing: If you are used to a sentinel carrying you threw the acts, removing it feels really sad. xD

I'm trying the zoo build off poevault for my first minion build, there's a lot of differences from the site and pob. Should I assume the pob is what I should be focusing on?

Just deciding between coc detonate dead Templar or zoomancer. While I love minions I also think the screen will be flooded and it will be too slow on bosses. Anyone played with any of those builds?

I am just hoping for a more friendly way to managed spectres, like store them etc and i'm there league start for sure.

What are you looking to do? I am pretty sure you can still do a spectre bank with a secondary PvP character to store spectres in addition to any that you are actually using.

I was really hoping that the specter changes in 3.23 would expand to all specters. Make them storable as corpses in your stash tab. Even if they didn't give us all of those new specters. Just the old ones in your inventory would be so much QOL.

very nice, just wanted to point this your way. At 06:50 as you are testing the leech you calculate 3,9% leech but the ascenancy will have only 1% so the dmg you should be testing should be about 1/4 of the dmg with 3,9%leech.

1% of the dmg is as shown in the video hitting the leech cap for minions even on low budget so if we leech 3.9 or 1% won't change the outcome of how the leech will interact as we're capping it on every hit.

How to make the minions leech life for you then? Do i need to equipe leech on dmg or pick specific tree?

With the defensive leech, you can pump those damage numbers. An Update would be amazing, but I guess we should also wait for the new Spectres. I will want to try out the Zoomancer for sure.

Maybe some kind of CI PhysCarrion Golem Necromancer will be good this league?

Leech is based on hit damage, hitting 10 enemies creates 10 instances of leech

Whenever a zombie with some source of leech hits a monster, a leech instance is created. Hitting multiple enemies with a single use of a skill creates that many leech instances. Life Leech instances have the following properties by default:[4] Each instance is independent. Multiple leech instances stack and apply simultaneously. There is no limit to the possible number of active leech instances Each instance Recovers the character's life for the Damage Dealt * % damage Leeched as Life up to a maximum of 10% of maximum life. Each instance Recovers at a rate of 2% of maximum life per second. Each instance Recovers until the total amount of leeched damage was recovered or the character reaches full unreserved life. The total recovery rate of all life leech instances is limited to 20% of maximum life or mana per second (10% for energy shield). The extra recovery over that cap will be ignored.

Thing is zombies are our slowest attacking minion anyway, think about 20 spiders or vaal skellies. If you solve the 1shot you are not dying past two rapid boss hits.

I wish i had time to play PoE these days, minion builds are always my favorite in ARPG's or jsut RPGS in general.

I will most definitely league start Zoomancer/Spectres if you make a build guide utilizing this tech. It's right up my hardcore alley.

Minion movement speed becomes even more important for minions to keep a good uptime on hitting stuff

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. If your leech capped at value X, doesn't matter how many times your minions apply leech (1 or 1000x a sec), leech can't go higher than X.

Correct me if I am wrong because I have never played with leech. 43 base instant leech per minion hit? 100% max total leech recovery from two es leech wheels makes that 86 per hit? Then Ghost reaver doubles that? 172? My minions hit 10 times per second. 1720? I got 5 minions. 8600 es instant leech per second? This doesn't seem right. I must be misunderstanding the leech mechanic completely.

yeah i dont think it works like that you could leech 2-4 times ur full es pool per sec withalot of minons and hits, i think it will have the same cap, like if u have es and ghost reaver "20%"cap you can never get more than the 20%pre sec dosnt mater if u minions have to hit 10 times per sec or 500 it will always be max 20%ur es and if u think about it, you give up ur normal regen to get it to 20% so its gonna be more like you have 4k es for exampe, maybe 500es regen, and than on top 400 insta es leech per sec. but idk leech is weird mechancis but i mean still, lets say u have 10k es and nothing invested in es regen, you can get 26% of that with ghost reaver and the two 15%max per sec, 2.6k es "regen", downside if ur minions cant hit anything u die to everything.

I absolutely hated this change until they threw out that convocation can be rolled now. That on it's own flipped the whole thing around. The issue I had was that the sustain doesn't mean anything if you just get clapped. You can leech 500 million health every milisecond but it doesn't matter if you just die. You need defenses to make leech even do anything. Having bone armor was a big reason why the sustain was wanted so much. Now that a gem slot can be freed up - we can use molten shell or something to try to make up for bone armor being gone. It's annoying and I do not like that we have to roll it on gear but at least it's something. That one change just made minions absolutely cracked. This version of leech was already in the game with the Baron. As it stands - that node is just objectively better than the old one as long as you take time to roll your gear. You get all of the benefits of the removed stuff with the new stuff.

Hopefully progenesis next league will be less common and more expensive considering changes in uber bosses fragments acquisition. The flask is too good and should be obtained only by people who work for it. And second thing. You couldn't afford 40d in this league for an item? That's like at maximum 3-4 hours of running t16 maps without magic find gear and lucky drops.

Didn't we have immortality before? Petrified blood and bloodnotch/ immovable force. Aegis Aurora and glancing blows, Defiance of Destiny. And those are just the most used systems.

The biggest buff to minion builds would be to increase substantially the hp and defences of minions and especially support minions. Also to make AG invulnerable

Considering we lost Bloodnotch and we need a few gems for block etc, we wont be able to do petrified blood and now we have to run a guard......sooo....not sure how good this will be. Its not like baron zombie necro with all the other pre nerf this was that insane.

Not only is there instant leech / normal leech but convocation being rolled also means you can replace the bone armor removal with another similar defensive. You basically get all of the benefits of the old node with the new node as long as you invest.

isnt the cap still 20%of your life ? my brain says the cap should be 20 times that 1%insta leech ? or does every singel minions have a 20%leech cap but urs is kinda endless ? i mean if its like in the vid if your shit is hitting 50 times a sec and u have vaal pact u would heal 100% of ur es instantly per sec? that would be way too broken no ? also you cna raise ur cap just the two nodes is an extra 30% thats another 60% with ghost weaver so thats 2.6%per attack per minions .. sounds waaay to broken no ? thats just 25hits.. like 50-100 would be 2times ur full es per sec, even 4 times ur whole es with 100 hits, i dont think it will work like that.
