Coincidentally last time we had a cheery wave from you was on the end of the Llangollen. You were off for a walk round the reservoir and we were starting down the locks. We ended up on that weeks vlog - in the distance😀. Hope you enjoy the Lancashire end of the L&L like we did -we took nearly 2 months to get from Wigan to Gargrave.

When Shell and Chris took to a "patch" they had family to look after and the Foxes needed a different plan, and "life happened" for Deb and Mark, and you tried what you thought you wanted, but maybe, just maybe, you really needed this resting time .... just like the farmers do the land... some years are for resting and revitalizing. No matter what you choose, you are together, you love each other, and we love you both just because you are You! 🥰

That is so true. I think we needed something away from cruising the canals for a bit and now we realise what we miss. As you say, as long as we are together, all is good.

In a matter of weeks, my health took a surprising, complete change. Do what makes you happy now and enjoy as much as you can. You never know what the future holds.

First of all - I'm from Manchester that has been living in the States for over 2 decades. I now live on the USA east coast. I just want to share with you - we hardly get ANY rain, it's hot, i can't even remember getting any snow in years. It sucks. I miss the rain so very very much. I would love to feel the rain on my face. Appreciate what you have!

We've been living on our narrow boat (currently on the Peak Forest Canal) for just over 2 years now and despite being 66 & 71, we're learning new things about ourselves and each other despite being together for 38 years. This lifestyle keeps us young 😊

Sorry to hear you are not happy with how things are at the moment but I have to say that from a selfish point of view I am happy to hear you will be back to cruising so that we get to enjoy more of your wonderful vlogs. Now you need to find a way to have a floating garden to tow behind your boat - a butty-garden.

Life is learning about life and there is always different directions to explore - as others have said you've both obviously needed the change to rejuvenate body & soul - you've always expressed your luv for growing your own food etc... now you've done it quenched that thirst so to speak and wow you've made the landing beautifully set up for someone else but that's about giving to others in a way that you've passed on your luv & knowledge..... I completely understand where you are coming from, beautiful as your plot is the wanderlust would completely take me over after a couple of weeks. Maybe you could have a plot of veggies on the roof of your narrowboat?

Awe. Four months is a long time. And when you got your spot and said it was month to month I gave a sigh of relief because you just never know and being tied down to stuff is an awful feeling. You're leaving your little spot a hella of lot nicer than when you got there. I think this is fantastic news !!!!

You're such a lovely couple 😊. You do exactly what is right for the 2 of you and enjoy every minute together. 😊 In 2018, we changed our lives and moved to the Highlands to a little island 🏝. Believing this to be our long term future, we left everything behind. Now, we realise, as idyllic as it is, there's still many more twists and turns out there to be explored so off we go again to who knows where.😊 We're quite a bit older than you, and still moving along life's path, so, you just go where life leads and, together, you will continue to find the joys of the world around you.

O'Yea the gold standard for Grey Gypsies! Maybe you can do an Air B&B Garden Plot for all those other boaters that might want to take a breather? I'm glad you're on the move again and I can relate. I'm getting prepared to go "Grey Gypsy" travel again as my wife recently passed away. Her ill health stopped our travels but now, I might go "fossicking" in my little teardrop camper. Preparing for it has given me renewed focus as, I'm sure you both are now again feeling energised with the prospect of exploring again. I love you're blogs as your both just easy going and generous souls.

Hi. You can even hear the enthusiasm & excitement in your voices. You've tried it. At least you can say that. As you've both said it's not for you yet. You've still years of cruising in you & you can still take breaks & moor up in places from time to time but not stay put just yet. Don't be sad about leaving the plot. Just on the winter stoppages - CRT is doing it differently this year in two parts. They've already published a list of certain stoppages. The next list of additional stoppages is coming later. The CRT web site explains it.
