Big Bullets Vs Body Armor - Big Horn Armory
We acquired a Level 3 Body Armor Plate made of AR500 steel, thank you Mr. Sovereign for sending it to us! We shoot it with a 500 S&W 350gr Xtreme Penetrator from Underwood Ammo out of our Model 89 Spikedriver, thank you Underwood Ammo for sending us the rounds! We also shoot it with a 600gr hard cast bullet out of the Model 89 and a 200gr ARX Bullet and 275gr DPB bullet both out of the AR500, 500 Auto Max. Stay tuned until the end to where we witness the spectacular demise of a bone-in ham, pay attention on the last shot to the cinder block behind the Body Armor Plate!

I bought a model 89 in .500 S&W and it is serious FUN to shoot. Most people don't know that a stainless steel firearm is rough and wears in over time. Some Tetra Gun Grease worked into every joint and lubing every moving part smoothed it out considerably. I love shooting this gun and it is some serious fun to shoot. as well as a high quailty firearm. One word of advice do not get shot with one of these rifles.

I want to see a .500 auto max with a tungsten carbide core. I'm really hoping that the .500 auto can be used as a lightweight anti material round, but it at the very least needs to defeat level 3, and realistically level 4.
With armour: a whole load of broken ribs and the pain to go with it but you will live.

interesting, I would’ve thought the 500 would’ve done a little bit more damage, sense of shot through one with the 45-90 in a 50-110 wcf

Man I love the way you randomly suit up in combat gear to shoot a armor plate shielding a pork leg. Haha oh you twisted bastards even thinking of a test like this! We love it!!! Lol obviously ONLY bcuz we are all and only respectful, responsible, law abiding citizens who love our country and fellow country men. We're all adults, and we all must behave accordingly.
