    This is an excellent video Melanie! My god I’m suffering and been anemic since a c section which left me anemic with heavy heavy periods for 6 years now. My anxiety is SO BAD due to health and dizziness and weakness is so bad. I have Shepherds purse and will start it again today. Listening to you was like hearing my story. Amazing. I also take frunutta sublingual iron. 27mg. I combine this with b12 drops. I’ve spent a fortune on iron and brands. They now know that smaller doses of iron work better than huge doses as the body rejects larger doses. The liver rejects excess iron. Also, no side effects on this iron. Thank you 🙏♥️

    Hi. Thanks so much for your message. It's so terrible how much women like us suffer. The big challenge with heavy periods is just when you start feeling better the cycle happens all over again! I actually have been out of Slow Flow because Vitanica has run out. I have had a herbalist mix me up a similar formula with shepherd's purse but it's not working nearly as well so bear that in mind. You may want to try the Slow Flow once it's restocked. I spoke with Vitanica and they are hoping sometime in August! ps. I just released a video talking about which iron supplements I use so you may want to check that out too. Take care.

    Have you added beets to your diet?? They will even help with the dizziness. I eat two or three during my period. Whenever you feel weakest in your cycle, eating them before (best), during, or after is super helpful to strengthen your whole body. Do not eat more than 6-7/week one or two weeks a moonth, which is plenty more than you need.

    Maybe add some vitamin A (not beta carotene) to the list. There is a study out of South Africa about how vitamin relieved menorrhagia. There is a relationship between iron stores and vitamin A. When I began supplementing with vitamin A a few times a week all types of small and seemingly unrelated health annoyances we're solved within 1-6 months, everything from IBS, skin problems, oily hair to hypothyroidism either fully or partially improved. I was too old to know if it would have improved my once heavy periods though

    I'm 27 years old and I have had heavy periods my entire life. Within the last few years I have found little to no relief going to specialists trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with me and I've had no answers. I've had multiple endometrium biopsies, I've had a DNC, and a blood transfusion and still no relief. I have not stopped bleeding for almost 9 months now severely anemic even with iron, I've tried multiple birth control methods, and I'm just looking for someone who may have gone through what I'm going through, it's no way to live honestly. I'm grateful for this video because I have not found many at all discussing heavy periods, and even when I do I've never really found any with periods quite as severe. Recently trying the depo shot, it has slowed my period not quite stopped it I'm just searching for some relief so thank you.

    Hi. I so feel for you. I think it's unbelievably difficult to live with heavy periods and no one - not even the specialists - really understand how it impacts the quality of your life, your brain and your emotions. I not a doctor but I do wonder if you have had anyone check whether you have a clotting issue or fibroids? I'm not sure if you seen my most recent video but my fibroids finally got the best of me and I had to have a hysterectomy. Once they get so bad, there's no much that will help. I already feel so much better. You are young so I hope they can find some answers for you. xo

    I’m 23 and have been experiencing heavy and long periods lasting months at a time since I was 11. I’ve had all the tests and biopsies but not the dnc. I’ve gone to several gynecologists and was told that there’s nothing wrong with me and that I should get pregnant to regulate my periods. Last year I got covid during month four of nonstop bleeding and passed out at work had to be taken to the er to get a blood and iron transfusion. I just keep being prescribed birth control which has gotten to the point where it doesn’t even stop the bleeding anymore unless I double up on the pills daily (per my doctor). All that being said, I’m really interested in trying herbs and supplements as I have never tried them before. I’ve heard a lot about raspberry leaf, have you experimented with that before?

    I have not tried raspberry leaf, recently I've tried vitamin k, menstrual regulation which is a bunch of natural remedies to try to make the bleeding less terrible. I was started on the depo shot which has helped a bit but recently we've had to double up on the dose on that as well. The only answer I've been able to get is that it is a hormone imbalance but no one can tell me how to actually fix that.

Unfortunately I haven't found much that has lightened my heavy periods but I do think the Now Foods Ginger helps if I take 750-1000mg for about 5-7 days before my period. It makes only the slightest difference but with heavy periods we need all the help we can get. Hi, Thank you for the video and the herbs you have researched. I would like to help out. First I find that Ginger increases the blood flow rather than reduce it. I stop ginger for 10 days during my period, which is a regular drink I was on for 2 years as my first warm cup before work. Second, for pain, I really like sage-infused in warm water- great pain relief. I am Anemic and so my Ferritin does not have enough time to replenish what I lose during that period, which made me research it extensively. I found out that some people do not absorb t well even if you bombard your system with it, and the supplement goes down the drainpipes if you have 1- caffeine 2- dairy 3- fizzy drinks. furthermore, the stomach pain was unbearable at times, even with Nexium protecting it. So I found an Iron supplement called Pro- Ferritin derived from hem based Iron (not plant-based Iron) which is not affected by caffeine & to get maximum absorption as well as no stomach pain, I daily make lemonade and crush a pill down to powder then pour that in and stir. This helped my Iron immensely and in a short period of time. As for fizzy drinks and dairy, I keep a duration of one hour between them and my Iron Intake. It worked... Hope this helps.

    Hi. I take it whenever I'm worried my period might get heavy so for example if I have errands, want to go to the gym, before work and before bed on the heaviest nights so I can sleep better. It won't completely stop it but it does do a good job of letting you get on with life!

    Hi. You take ginger in the lead up to your period (ie. about 5 days before and keep taking it). If you have really heavy periods you may not notice a huge difference but for me any little bit I could do - I did! You may want to try the Vitanica Slow Flow because it has ginger but also a lot of other great things. That one you take on the first day of your period and during your period. I think you would likely have a more noticeable effect with the Vitanica. Hope you find something that helps!

    I am currently taking iodine and 1-2 brazilian nuts per day to help with selenium and also zinc sometimes. I've noticed the lenght of period has reduced to 4 with 2 heavy days. Be careful with iodine and check your thyroid first if you want to supplement.

    hey can u tell me, if this stuff helps with stomach bloating that comes with periods? and what is the estrogen level in it as well?

  • @laurab.2796

    @laurab.2796

    Жыл бұрын

    @@jamiepruitt4125 there is no estrogen in Iodine, it's a trace mineral our body needs to convert certain hormones of the Thyroid gland. You can get it in kelp powder, as a liquid or in sea food. Or in fortified table salt. But be careful with eating a lot of seafood as it may contain mercury. I understand sardines are the lowest in mercury. Selenium also helps with the hormones in the thyroid which can impact your period. You can get this naturally from organic brazilian nuts, 2per day no more as it can become toxic if you get too much. Read the label on the package. Regarding bloating, I would eliminate sugar from diet and take fish oil which is anti inflamatory. It depends on each person. But usually is the diet that generates it.
