0:10 Heavy period causes
0:28 Remedies for heavy periods
In this short video, we’re going to talk about how to deal with heavy periods. This could be an estrogen dominance situation. If you take birth control pills or are on some type of estrogen, or you consume a lot of soy, you may want to find an alternative. These things could be contributing to too much estrogen.
4 key tips for heavy periods:
1. Avoid dairy
Dairy can increase estrogen.
2. Consume cruciferous vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables are anti-estrogenic. Consuming either a concentrated cruciferous vegetable product called DIM, or cruciferous vegetables themselves could help balance estrogen.
3. Take calcium D glucarate
This product may help detoxify the liver. In the liver, there are certain enzymes that are constantly balancing estrogen. Calcium D glucarate could help those enzymes work better and may help lower estrogen dominance.
4. Ovex (standard process)
This product called could help with heavy periods, and support the ovaries.

The only thing helped is K2 with D3. There is research on vitamin K2 for heavy periods and I take it every single day 300mcg of K2 and 30000IU of D3. Before taking high amount of K2 I had heavy periods for at least 10 days long, now at maximum 5 days and only 1 day of heavy period (usually always second day) without any pain as well. Two of my friends tested it and it helped a lot, even tho they didn't fix their diet. I think this should be on the board as well. 😊😊

I started cycling at 8. At 41 (currently 42) my doctor (DO) suggest seed cycling. Since my first cycle, I have had heavy cycles-8 days every 28 days. After my 3rd child (23 yrs old) I developed serious cramping and cysts. After laparoscopic surgery I was told I had Endometriosis and PCOS. Doctors at that time told me Lupron shots were only way to go. (Age 27). I tried AIP diet which helped immensely with inflammation in my body. At 37 I got pregnant following low carb. I now follow keto (dairy free because dairy triggered cysts) and seed cycling. My cycle for the past year has been regular, 5 days...only 1 day of heavy the rest are spotting, no off moods (I would get super angry and tearful), and no breast tenderness or cramping.

I was deficient on Vitamin D, my symptoms were more related to fatigue. My period was normal and consistent as it has been my whole life. I started vitamin D 5000UI a day and since my first cycle after the supplement my period started to become heavier every cycle. By the third cycle after supplementation my period was lasting over 2 weeks. Doctors wanted to put me on birth control instantly with no tests whatsoever. I insisted for tests, all blood tests were normal. They found small fibroids and said that is most likely the reason and wanted to put me on hormones. I then asked to retest my vitamin D to see if it was back to normal and it was. So, I decided to stop the vitamin D and be consistent about taking sun every day. On the first cycle my period is already back to normal. I read the research and we know the benefits of Vitamin D on women with deficiency, we also know it has a direct effect on menstruation and different stages of ovulation BUT we do not know yet the right dosage related to menstrual cycles or what can happen if one were to take too much related again to the period specifically. For me, it was too much for my body and my period got heavy and long. It was frustrating to talk to doctors and everyone blamed my age (34) or that I need to be on birth control and I would tell them it all started when I started the supplement a few months before and I was totally shut down. I think they meant well, I just think is not something anyone knows for sure. If any other women out there has had a similar experience I hope you read this.

And that is why I cut it out by about 98%. And my bleeding has improved drastically. My iron levels are finally starting to go up with supplements. In Canada my iron it supposed to be between 100 + 272 and mine was at 3 😬I also know that I am getting close to menopause and that creates estrogen dominance in the aspect of progesterone estrogen ratios. I can't wait to be in menopause LOL being keto I don't think I'll have a problem with hot flashes LOL

Any advice on frequent heavy periods? It seems ever since the doctor removed my IUD. I have been getting frequent periods. I had a pap test done. All is good. Blood work too. I have been on healty keto eating plan for two months now. I'm estergen dominance. So I've watched I think all of your videos on that. And everything else :) I think I have a non-fatty liver, and high insulin. So I'm trying really hard to stay focused on fixing my liver, and digestion problems. But am I missing something? I got the IUD taken out around August. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much Dr.Berg Wendy

I have suffered 44 years from this. I am a wimp when it comes to medical procedures, so I declined fibroid operations. My cycle was flip flopped, three weeks on, one week off. Put me on BCPs and Depo Provera shots. Good luck trying to conceive using that. Took me close to seven years. Now iron deficient. Transfusions. Made me sick to the point of passing out and vomiting. Now perimenopause hits, and back to continuous menstrual cycle. I will research the ovex. Thank you.

Back in the 1980s I had heavy periods and clots and was put on birth control pills and Iron but it didn't help. Made me irritable. The D & C didn't solve the problem either. Some friends suggested I might have thyroid issues and go have it checked. But I had two MDs who refused to test me for it. One of them suggested I take antidepressant. I finally had to have a hysterectomy . Wasn't till a few years later that I found a doctor who would test my thyroid and sure enough, I had an overactive thyroid. That may have been the reason for the excessive bleeding

That initially helped me (was vegetarian for 10 years), but thennitngot worse than before cutting out meat. I think the anemia made those symptoms worse from what I'm seeing in the comments. I started back eating meat, grass fed beef, which I hated in the past and things got better. It can be so confusing at times. I've suffered since I was about 11.

Wished I still had my insides, the doctor did a chop job on me. all new doctors that see, are shocked. doctors should advise women of the many problems that can/ do occure after a hyst.. I did not need a hysterectomy. Sad. but. I did stop bleeding heavy. Other problems started up.
