I used hook grip for a while, but I might just switch to straps for going really heavy because it genuinely feels like my thumb is going to rip off or break and and don't want to push it.

I have a problem at my commercial gym there bars spine , so when I deadlift the bar it spins when lifted, and it becomes hard to hold on overhand grip, so I lose the grip but on alternate grip makes it not spine so in this case do I always have to use alternate grip every set because the bar spines evan with chalk on my hands and is normal to use a barbell that spins to deadlift?

  • @martinXY
