Best Footwork Drill: Zig Zags 🏃‍♂️💨

Here is one of the best fast paced baseball drills improving overall athleticism. Set up your starting cone then 4 more connecting in a Z-shape. At each corner have someone throw a ball at you to catch.
Goals here are to:
- Improve footwork / lateral movement.
- Improve reaction and tracking.
- Improve agility with quick starts and stops.
- Improve the transition from running, fielding and throwing.
- Improve throwing in game like conditions - find, field and throw.
Optional:
- To switch it up, feel free to plant yourself after you catch it and throw it back to your coach.
Not only is this good for baseball but the drill works on acceleration, deceleration and change of direction, all of which are involved in almost every sport.
