If you want to improve your speed and explosiveness, start practicing pumping your arms through a full range of motion. This is will help maximize all the muscles needed to become faster. Here are 6 ways to do it:
1) Feet planted isolating your arms.
2) Seated with your legs in front of you.
3) March in place with opposite leg and opposite arm.
4) Balancing on one leg, without your leg touching the ground.
5) Syncing your feet with your arms, left foot forward, right arm up.
6) Practice it in a mirror or film yourself doing each way mentioned above.
This is an easy enough exercise to do anywhere without having to lift heavy weight. Syncing your body's movement will maximize your overall effectiveness making you faster. Watch how synced the fastest athletes in the world are. There is a reason why they are at the top! Practice makes perfect.
