Best AfterShokz Headphones for Runners: Expert guide to bone conduction headphones
Спорт
AfterShokz's bone conduction headphones are an increasingly popular option for runners, with the open ear design meaning that you can stay aware of the world around you while running. They're the only headphones allowed in many races as a result.
All four of The Run Testers have used AfterShokz headphones for years and have our opinions on which of the company's current range are the best for runners, as well as on how good bone conduction technology is in general. In this video we run through the current AfterShokz range before Mike, Nick, Kieran and Tom each give their take on which is the best set of AfterShokz bone conduction headphones you can buy right now.

Ditto, great to hear the variety of viewpoints, and as such be able to suss out the elements that resonate for my own needs. Super. Thank you.
great review
Great content, I have the Apple Power Beats and Shokz Aeropex they each have there place in training. Road conditions “route” people cars city street lights etc....vs less people easy route made for runners “trails” no real distractions. Bottomline it’s like our running shoes each have there place in our rotation due to route and workout....

Hi Michael, glad you're enjoying it. And definitely, if you can afford two pairs for specific runs that's ideal.
Likewise, great to hear the variety of viewpoints, and as such be able to suss out the elements that resonate for my own needs. Super. Thank you.
Hey guys, thanks for the video! A couple of you mentioned bone conduction headphones aren’t your go-to headphones for running. What are your favourite (‘normal’) earphones/headphones for running?
I believe some of the after-shocks models have voice prompts. Please can you tell me which ones? Thanks!
I honestly dont understand why people bother using these for music. I've been using them for several years and strictly use them for podcasts and audiobooks. They work excellent for that purpose.
Has anyone tried the aeropex mini? I am trying out the Air’s and they are just way too long so they stick out far from my head
Spot on, honest . Thanks What regular earphone would be good if hi fidelity is the objective. Cheers

Hi Roberto, have you seen our headphones vid?
How's the stability of these during hard sweaty workouts ie box jumps or sprints or long trail runs in the heat?
@TheRunTesters

Hi I've (Nick) never had a problem with them coming loose at all, aside from when doing exercises where a lie back with my head on the ground when the band gets pushed by the floor. Fine for runs and box jumps for sure :)
when you say durability issues, do you mean they become tinny or break in like 6 months or a few years?
@TheRunTesters

Hi, some of the models we've tested have become tinny after a shorter than expected period of usage.

They're ok. You're not going to get full on sound but they'll do a job unless you're running really noisy roads.

I recommend you Tayogo bone conduction headphones.
Would love to have them come a little smaller or that they could sit lower down on the neck for the lady’s. I have almost three fingers worth of space behind my head, that makes high collars and coats a pain , even the head rest in the car an annoyance.

That's a good point Yvette. They are one size fits all.
