Aftershokz Air Vs Aeropex Bone Conduction Headphones

Спорт

Edit Aeropex are IP67 waterproof. This means if they end up in heavy rain or shallow water, they’ll be fine but it isn’t recommended to swim in them. If you want something to swim in, try the Xtrainerz.
Are the Aftershokz Aeropex worth the extra $40?
If you've used these or any other bone conduction headphones let me know what you think in the comments!

I have both sets. Before last year, I needed those because my Malia’s bone was pressing up against the cochlear in my left ear, so it couldn’t vibrate and conduct sound properly. If you block your ears when wearing bone conduction headphones, the sound quality will massively improve, and they will bang. Hard. As you stated, you are protecting your hearing from dangerous sound waves by bypassing your eardrums all together.

Solid review. I had a pair of Air’s for almost 2 years and they’re pretty reliable. I used them mostly for running but I could fit them under my helmet and still instruct at the tank school at fort benning. Recently my car stereo died and I’ve been using them while I drive. Well last week they finally died and I thought I was screwed, I contacted aftershockz and they’re being replaced ! I never had any issues wearing them with hats glasses or anything. One thing that sucks is that if you’re laying down they don’t stay on well at all but other than that. Super solid all around and the customer service is efficient and professional.

@@stephenwells2464 well, we landed the day before by plane. And the journey continued by boat the next Day. So I had my flight outfit in my backpack and somewhere between the clothes were my trekz. I don't know if they snapped when I tried to pull them out of my bag, or that they snapped during traveling. I only know that they snapped in my backpack, cause I used them in the hotel before flying. So later on the boat I grabbed them and felt two pieces and I thought, no no no. And when I took them out I saw that the earpiece where the buttons are on was hanging on a small thread, but were broken. Turned them on, but only heard sound on the good ear. Kinda my own fault. But still stupid. I used them on my bike and also to run. And I was about to run a lot that holiday, but it happened before I even arrived on the final destination haha. I REALLY appreciated this vid. I suffer from hearing loss due to a genetic disease that messes with the collagen in my body, and as I’ve gotten older it’s caused more and more hearing loss. I wore beats headphones for several years now and found similar problems with them as you did - so I went in the search for an alternative - my ENT actually suggested I try bone conduction headphones, as he felt they might work well for me. I didn’t want to spend a lot on them to try them out, so I’m looking at purchasing a highly rated but less costly brand. This was really helpful - appreciate it! Take care & hello from Alberta 👋

In the air, you miss out on some of the bass that the Aeropex has giving the aeropex a more full sound. You cannot store music on the aeropex you can only use it through Bluetooth. When I turned it on and put it on the table, it was so loud that I could hear it from outside my room! It was like a loudspeaker. • @micahgrauel8770

It is bone conduction only. The way to test it is to block your ears. If the signal transmission is reliant on your ear canal, the sound won't improve. if it is true bone conduction, blocking your ears will make them sound much better. These don't have any air conduction, It's just that the transducers are using your table to conduct the sound.

Whoops... Just found my Air's in the basement after a move and washed them with soap and water in the sink because they were nasty ...then you tell me they're not waterproof. They still seem to be working though!

There's a car coming up behind you? First of all you have to jog counterflow of the traffic. 😊 But nice review. My trekz air recently just died on me after using it for more than 2 years. I'm excited to get my aeropex now. And all i can say is bone conduction is best for outdoor workout. 😊

MAJOR PROBLEM WITH AFTERSHOKZ. The headsets' controls do not play well with computers. In most cases they don't work with computers at all, and must be controlled by the computer. It is a known issue with the company having no solution at this time. UGH!

Plus the Aeropex has a rewind |>| - listening to Shapiro podcast requires the "What did he say?" replay as he talks so fast.
