I'm 56 in a few months , half way through my purple belt (started at 49) ive got natural strength and steel grips àt 85kg. A few of the young fellows at 100kg have been proving problematic as their games improve, one benchpressed me off a hard fought mount. I have watched Bernardos pressure passing and I think if I can perfect the knee bar while increasing the pressure with his angle change... game over young man . I will drill this at home until the pressure and connection is good . I enjoy your shows and techniques , thank you gentlemen.

Wow it changed my life because a tough opponent didnt tap me out at all last practice. He found my game much more difficult.

Bernardo is such a pleasure to learn from, and an inspiration. But it does sting a bit to hear a 45 year old described as "old." Am 60 now and blessed to be able to continue to train. Had a new hip put in a couple years back and came back with no restrictions. Honestly I would say that technique is much more limiting than age. That is unless my technique was really much better than it is, I don't really have an excuse not to get better. So still trying to get better, and enjoying the journey.

For anyone trying to beat super flexible guys who go upside down and/or can always bring there legs to there head to prevent pass etc. Use This type of pass and anyway you can force half guard for those pass is great to. you have such control of there hips(your whole body is locking them down) and there locked flat back. So shrimping is extremely difficult also those guys use there flexible backs and pelvic area to basically bring there hooks from anywhere. I.E Try to bring your leg over your head flat back. Then get on your opposite hip... For those looking to defend you can push his head the way he's passing but once he tucks his head on opposite hip it's almost over. Theres a few other ways but you really let him get to far into his setup. The best defense then IMO is to post your elbow on mat on the side of his over. Then use it to turn to your knees by Turing towards him as he passes.

Obviously I didn't cover everything. Also sorry for sounding like a know it ...... Just mean giving your weight to strong guy is not the absolute best. Same with giving space to the flexible. Now these rules are easily broken if you technique is on point.

Josenildo now you are talking about stabilizing sidemount rather than passing the guard per se. Some of the tips are to kill the arms, Keep him flat, and block the hip with either your knee, your hand, or some other body parts
