Bernardo Faria is a 5x World Champion. Bernardo started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Juiz de Fora - MG, Brazil at the age of 14 in 2001. After receiving the Black Belt from his first instructor Ricardo Marques in 2008, He moved to Sao Paulo to join BJJ legend Fabio Gurgel and his Alliance team. After many years of training and winning many major titles, Bernardo moved to NYC in 2013 to train and teach at Marcelo Garcia Academy. In 2015 Bernardo achieved his dream of winning the IBJJF World Championship Open class title and his division, doing the double Gold and becoming the 1st in the IBJJF Ranking and also chosen as the best athlete of 2015.
Bernardo Faria has now taken on the mission to share some of the lessons, techniques, experiences and more that he has learned along in his 16 years and counting as a BJJ student, teacher and world class competitor.

I like the confidence of John showing this move to Bernardo as though he didn’t build a career doing this better than anyone in competition 😂
John needs mic when he is speaking. I turned up the volume 100 to hear his voice. Of course, what he is saying is gold.
Listen closely Bernardo, I’m going to show you how to use the lapel when transitioning from half guard to a single leg. I think it will compliment your game nicely.

@@prideneverdies1001 saggioros DVD is decent if you like his game. If Bernardos game is working for you try Saggioros as his is an upgrade. The both actually started training with each other at the same gym and rolling against each other.
Not doubting it works but Brian is not sprawling at all and when I use this lapel takedown, sometimes I lose the grip on the lapel if I am not to the side of him and he sprawls really hard
Hello Bernado,I always have a problem being guillotined by my partner when try getting up in coyote half,I tried a lot and my partner is a body builder and I simply can't get away,is that because I'm not stay close enough to his chest?Will be appreciated if you can help,thank you
Is John Danaher over 60? I wonder if he still actively rolls vs the younger and fitter purples, browns and BBs in his gym and how well he does against them
